my comment was to the fact that it seems to many the bluster of what Mr Trump says he will do... (few details on how.. other than.. “good management”) is conflated with his record as a business man.

I would like to point out that much of that record would be anathema to many that now support him had he still been saying things like his comment about san fan nan...

Please tell me a candidate for POTUS, any candidate at any time in history that has laid out more detail on his plans then Trump? As as for you selective quotes. Have you read any of Trump's books going back all the way to the early 80s? Well no of course not. Because if you did you would know that Trump has been saying esentially the same thing for 40 years. No, you pick random musing mostly taken out of context and claim that it who Trump is. Never mind his self documented and published positions. You are blinded by God knows what, but it is your problem. Trump has all but won and you have no choice but to watch America start winning again. Not that I would ever expect someone of your superior intellect would ever admit you are just flat out wrong.

What NRO has demonstrated is that there is a conservative establishment. They have never been in government power. But they thought they had power within the movement.

Remember that the Conservative establishmnet opposed Reagan and supported Phil Crane. Very similar to now.

Rush is right, nobody can herd us cats.

Im for Cruz despite the conservative establishments mistakes.

Ah yes a shameless self promoter who used the system he now says is his enemy should always be believed.

Why not tony robbins he talk *yuge too...

Sorry as I have said if DJT had became a conservative it was recent and has no confides in action.

Kelo- He Liked it.
AWB - He Liked it.
Waiting Periods to buy a gun - He liked it
Nancy Pelosi being a success as speaker - He liked it
Hillary Clinton as a good sec state - He Liked it.

I am not blind I just do not believe some one of his age suddenly becomes something other than what he has been for a very long time. It could happen but I dont want to trust my NATION on it.

I will vote for the R no mater whom it is because unlike DJT I never thought HRC was going to make America great or safe..

I am for Cruz, and find no Conservative value in Trump... I won't be voting for him at all. I also canceled my subscription to NR sometime during GHWB's presidency, finding it suddenly so full of NeoCon platitudes that it failed to perform it's service. That being said:

Close, but not quite. Let me first congratulate NR for finding 22 conservative (notice that isn't capitalized) writers who, having searched among themselves, finally found a pair of balls. Therein is a feat unparalleled by the writing they produced. Too little, and much too late. Had NR continued in all these years (one might truly argue decades) to be a font and light for true Conservatism, your opining might in fact hold great weight. As it is, at this late hour, waking from your literary (read drunken) stupor, asserting yourselves with the loud rigor of one caught sleeping will not be effective.

You will receive nothing more than *rolls eyes*... And rightly so.

The problem is this:

Liberalism has almost destroyed us - Not because it is winning on merit, but rather because it receives no opposition. That is your fault, directly.

Now, even here, many people don't even understand what Conservatism IS. Few here can recite it's principles. Few see it as a single coherent thing. That is your fault, directly.

Because you didn't stand in the breach, because the educators do not stand in the breach, and because politicians do not stand in the breach, to stand and FIGHT, we are left with the very reasonable conclusion that you approve, or even collude with those forcing liberalism, globalism and multiculturalism down our throats. You dirty, no-account sonsabitches.

So go back to your hallowed halls and contemplate. Blow smoke rings with your fine cigars, and fart in your fine leather chairs. And know that you have failed us all.

The NR is of course not perfect and the Bucley days (the real one) are long gone but there are still some good writers in it, like most things the wheat and the chaff need separated

Sotomayor got past the Senate. Eric Holder got past the Senate.

Trump is a sleazy crony capitalist who makes most of his money preying on pathetic, compulsive casino “gamblers.” He has the highest unfavorable rating of any candidate including Hillary’s. You are a stooge supporting this Trojan horse.

For heaven’s sake, stop being so ridiculous. A proud brother is allowed be brag about his impressively successful sister! Period! And no one should be so petty as to hold it against him. Anymore than we should hold it against him when he lightheartedly told Ophrah years ago, he should run for president and she should be his running mate.

(As a matter of fact, if Oprah were a classic liberal instead of a progressive/socialist liberal, she would be a wonderful VP!)
