Throughout the conservative (including FR), libertarian, and white separatist blogospheres, there are numerous defenders of Putin, seeing him as the sole remaining enemy to the Western political, cultural, and financial establishment and its secularist and multicultural goals. I can see the French, Dutch, and Belgians, faced with internal war and lacking the numbers of brave, physically fit young men to fight the Muslim hordes, asking for Russian military assistance..
The Russians, in both the Soviet era and now, have supported secular Arab nationalists, such as the Assads. They may do so again, in the name of traditionalist French and Dutch governments

More than you know. While stationed in [West] Germany in the 1960s, I was privileged to be invited to and attend the funerals of several WWII Alte Kameraden including some who had been in the SS. And accordingly, I learned the songs from their old days first hand. This was the one the SS guys used.
Yes, some of the old guys in Stasi had a sense of humour. So did their counterparts on the West side, at Pullach.

Thanks Matt for your insight. Here are a few thoughts from a completely unqualified observer:
1) You touched on the key word when you mentioned the Jocobins. “Destabilization”. This is the end game or more exactly, the beginning. Going with the assertion of a Mohammedan uprising in 2016, the economies of Europe are the real target. Remember what 9/11 did to our economy. A prolonged series of terrorists strikes will batter the big EU economies and crush the smaller ones. The conspirators want a cascade of economic collapses. When the EU swirls the economic toilet, the rest of the world will be dragged right along. Too big to fail and all that stuff. The Mohammedans are pawns in this strategy.
2) B. Hussein Obama and company has their role in all this. Given totality of his actions, his part will be to do the exact opposite of what rightly should be done. First, he will lie and downplay threats, then do absolutely nothing. If he does anything between his golf games, it will be to offer to take in the Mohammedans from Europe and call Americans “un-American” for not going along.
3) The Europeans are a strange lot as a whole. Who can really predict their first and second reactions to such attacks? But there will be a heck of lot Europeans who are, or soon will be, willing to shed blood. Nationalism will be on the rise along with a resolved hatred of the Mohammedans. A conservative is a liberal who was mugged. The best of agitators and conspirators cannot not clearly predict what the Joe-lunch-box (in French, that is Jo-dejeuner-de-bo) will do. This is a wild card. And what will be the reactions of Americans be? I think you know.
4) I have stated before that 9/11 and such occurrences are recruiting events for the extremists Mohammedans more than anything else. These actions do more to anger people than terrorize them, but regardless, the number of new jihadi recruits keeps rising. These radicals want nothing more than the two big religions of the world to go at it wholesale. In that light, they are no different then communist agitators. World War III will be the longest of World Wars.
5) The actions of the jihadis around the world reveal a weird psychological projection. The killings, beheadings, enslavements, detonations, etc. are EXACTLY how we should approach the jihadis. They should be treated like sub-humans in order to defeat them. The western world at large has not realized this. Ann Coulter was fired from National Review (2001?) for saying “invade their countries, kill their leaders and convert them to Christianity,...”. I call this prophetic. 6) Obama IS the punishment.

That’s possible, and some day it might be proven, but probably not. But the fact that the media has still not drilled down to even ask about “cross-border authority” vs “stand-down orders” shows that they are both stupid and corrupt. The mere fact that Obama and Hillary hid all night, abandoning the mission to its fate, is to me the real scandal. An ambassador is equal in rank to a 4-star general. Ours was kidnapped and thought to be in AQ hands, and they literally hid, so no CBA could be granted.
I am not amazed by much, but that amazes me, that the media has still not focused on the most important issue. Where the arms were going? Embarrassing. Hiding, while a mission is murdered without sending the cavalry? Shameful and dishonorable on every level.
And the media is still oblivious to CBA.
Yes, it’s a classic destabilization. The mid-term goal of the internationalists is to flatten and destroy European nationalism once and for all.
We won’t take the fight seriously until we lose entire cities. Then the open-border socialist libs will be swept into the dustbin, if not hung as collaborators and traitors.
I see the European Civil War breaking out in 2016, with car bombs in cities, Beirut or Baghdad style, a weekly if not daily event.
I see glassified cities across the middle east in the next decade. And maybe elsewhere.
My real question is: Will we have electricity on the other side, or enter a new Dark Age? That’s the biggest question, even bigger than what will be the mort rate over the next decade.
PS: We might not even know, or care, if Islam still exists in the Middle East. Not if the power goes out and stays out. Any Muslims in the USA, after that, will have to be very quiet about their past religious affiliation. Or they will be gone. As I expect every Christian in the Middle East to be gone.
