since muslims will not attack Isis..they should be on a list where we can round them up to keep the country safe..If they won’t purge their communities, they agree with them..
Yep, database needed..internment camps also, so when the shtf, we can round em up, head em out..

there is nothing stopping them now..agree with slippery slope, but we at this point are ruled by obozzo, not the law..
they are spying on us, they are planning for war with us, the question is where will the military fall?

I was apoplectic over this Trump smear, feeling just as you articulate here regarding liberty and taking personally the NAZI smear as a Trump supporter.

But, after further consideration...seriously, why not have database of Muslims in the United States? I started thinking about all the databases I’m in for sure. My businesses are heavily, heavily regulated and audited by the government - they know every deal I’ve ever made, every check I’ve ever written - tons of databases there. Every charitable donation ever made by me is in IRS databases. All my business dealings and earnings and partnerships and corporations. My fingerprints at FINCEN. Trade names. Real estate records. Division of Employment when they audit for unemployment insurance and workers comp. UCC’s. Motor vehicle, accidents and insurance. Health insurance. Every political donation. Cell phone and internet databases. Google probably knows more about me than my wife and kids do. My banks that diligence me every year. The EZ Passes on my automobiles. They’d be able to get all my credit card records in five minutes if they wanted them.

The point is obvious to me now - this thread is correct - so what if Muslims are in a database ? I’m sure the government could get my baptismal certificate from the church if they wanted to, assuming they don’t already have it. What about the census?

The MSM is starting to be seen for what they are ... running around like a flock of noisy guinea hens.

Tracking US citizens because of religion and not an actual criminal threat would be heading down a very slippery slope. Anyone in favor of this, think for a second: how much power do you really want a Democratic administration to have over monitoring your life? Monitoring people’s religion would certainly be an expansion of the already too broad surveillance that’s going on.

The government already tracks the middle and upper class via income tax. What could be more intrusive really. I have a SS number, a drivers license, a FICO score, my only way of not being tracked is to go off grid. Hell they probably have my finger prints as well I have had to provide them for back ground checks.

What's wrong with refugees providing finger prints and DNA samples and being required to report on their address periodically? Once they have applied for permanent status and it's been granted they can petition to be removed. What's the big deal?

Seriously, does anyone think it doesn’t already exist in one of our government agencies? (sorry for the double negative)

Only to a point - nobody knows how many are unknown and there is not enough data available to make a reliable database of the "refugees".

Besides - they only pay real attention to the average law-abiding White male (racists/hater/budding terrorist types don't ya know) population that owns or espouses the ownership of guns.

Like France, they have info on those who end up killing some of us but don't do anything to stop it - they start out by telling us it has nothing to do with terrorism or radical religious extremism, then the story slowly leaks out until we find they were on a "watch list" but nobody saw and "credible looming threat"....

Let's get a worthy successor to Obama in the WH...

Now for a short public service announcement to all on FR:
I prefer Cruz and my money goes to his campaign, hence the Cruz link. If you like someone else, donate to him/her (find your own link to do it) and if you use FR and don't donate, then please don't complain about the welfare leeches or those who have Obama Phones because, functionally, you are no different than any other FReeloader

PS - If you are one of those who cannot afford even a small donation to FR or a candidate, God Bless and happy FReeping!.....

GO CRUZ!! Keep it up Trump!!

Donate to FR

Donate to Cruz

Donate to FR

Well, you said refugees, but I said “US citizens.” I think there is a real difference between the two. Most citizens, including Muslim ones, would already have the same sort of tracking that you mention. What benefit would there be to stamping “Muslim” on their driver’s license or having a big, long list of (self-identified?) Muslim citizens? What would be done with it? We don’t have the resources to monitor them all. Setting a bad precedent is the only “benefit” I can see to it. Even if we had all their fingerprints, that wouldn’t stop them from blowing themselves up. Why not just keep better tabs on homegrown Islamic extremists specifically?

As far as refugees go, I don’t want them let in and tracked—no, I think we should simply refuse to take any from countries that are currently having problems with terrorism. Period.
