“I think thereâs a lot of people on FR who subconsciously function this way, sad to say, and still call themselves conservatives.
And then thereâs the others who suspect this but are too timid to say so.”
You’re probably right. Carson gave a pretty speech at a CPAC and suddenly conservatives who want to show how open minded they are start rallying around him for President. Many have been cowed by leftist bullying.
People don’t yet recognize that he’s a stealth amnesty candidate.
He seems like an outsider, but he’s for amnesty for illegal aliens and their employers.
The only Americans who want their country invaded are those profitting from it.
Interesting! Never looked @ it that way! I am 100% Trump and am not afraid to say so! Hopefully Trump’s confidence will spread to the voters so they can be brave enough to stand up for whom they believe in.
What makes you think I’m anti-Trump? I’m not.
By abrasive, I’m referring to the way he can rub people the wrong way. Like in Trump’s speeches, where I’ve sometimes seen him blather on about his wealth and uber-rich friends, and his past dealmakings. It’s a delicate line between confidently tooting your own horn and veering into boorishness. In a lot of traditional quarters, gabbing about your wealth is sometimes interpreted as not just poor form, but a sign of character weakness, not “strength.” I can see how Trump’s manner can turn off a lot of folks, and how Carson’s opposing style and life-story wins them over.
Not that it personally bothers me all that much, because as long as Trump continues to discombobulate the media, give heartburn to the GOP-E, and if elected, put up a blasted fence and reverse the invasion, I’ll gladly be cheering him.
>> Simple analysis shows Ben Carsons support is driven by the White guilt
Fortunately, I have had my shots. Now I am immune to white guilt and I see Carson for what he is: a poor choice for POTUS.
Shouldn't the goal be to do a hell of a lot better?
Sure. Does this article's thesis help with that goal?
