Roskam: Republicans Gather Enough Votes For Special Conference To Slow Down Speakership Election
Republicans in the House of Representatives have banded together to ensure a cooperative debate on strategy and party disagreements before House GOP conference chairwoman Rep. Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA){49% Liberty Score} can try to help House Majority Leader Rep. Kevin McCarthy (R-CA){45% Liberty Score} take Rep. John Boehners (R-OH){35% Liberty Score} soon-to-be-vacated job as House Speaker, and instead force a special extended conference meeting that can now happen without McMorris Rodgers approval.
The debate is enabled by Rep. Peter Roskam (R-IL){56% Liberty Score}, who was circulating a letter to his colleagues calling for debate on the Speakership process. At least 50 fellow GOP members have signed Roskams letter calling for a special conference meeting.
Thank you. On the face of it that sounds encouraging.
Never trust the GOPe. Globalist snakes den.
This is just one of the battles, war will go on for a while.
Boehner attended Cincinnati's Moeller High School and was a linebacker on the school's football team, where he was coached by future Notre Dame coach Gerry Faust.
Graduating from Moeller in 1968, when U.S. involvement in the Vietnam War was at its peak, Boehner enlisted in the United States Navy but was honorably discharged after eight weeks because of a bad back. ... .
Great find!
Clearly Boehner’s principle-deficient life began early.
