Even if you don’t believe the legal argument I just made, at least recognize that Cruz may not agree with your rejection of it, and therefore may be something other than just another smarmy politician. In fact, Cruz is going against the political establishment by denying their false definition of “under the jurisdiction thereof.”

Ah, a pretend supporter.
As in “for the sake of my vanity thread I will pretend to be a Cruz supporter.”
You do know that your blog and pro-Carly articles are visible go anyone curious enough to look, right?
You do understand how trollish that makes your “article” appear, right?

This article is spot on.

Trump is the only one that is not owned by rich donors.

Go Trump!

All politicians are looking to advance their political careers and are owned by rich donors

14A says nothing about birthright citizenship. It’s an interpretation, and we’ve adjusted these sorts of interpretations when it was clear that the Bill of Rights was becoming a suicide pact.

"Every Person born within the limits of the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction, is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. This will not, of course, include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, who belong to the families of ambassadors or foreign ministers accredited to the Government of the United States, but will include every other class of persons.
Senator Jacob Howard, Co-author of the citizenship clause of the 14th Amendment, 1866.

With a straight face, you equate Cruz to Clinton or Edwards? You fault a *politician* for politicking?

(smh...)

And yet another example of establishment Republican sock puppets trying to create a war within the conservative ranks.

Kindly try to recall Reagan’s 11th commandment. Address the issues without name calling.

I don't mean to beat a dead horse, but I thought you'd be interested in this. It's a definition of "under the jurisdiction thereof" by the author of the 14th amendment, during the Senate debates on proposing the 14th amendment to the states:

"This amendment, which I have offered is simply declaratory ... that every person born within the United States, and subject to their jurisdiction is by virtue of natural law and national law a citizen of the United States. This will not of course include persons born in the United States who are foreigners, aliens, ..."

Ted's shenanigans on TPP/TPA were smarmy, and he's either stupid, blind, or just doesn't care about the H1B scam, and in either case he's just plain wrong.

Still, he's head and shoulders better than any other candidate and I will continue to send money and will vote for him at the first opportunity.

I'm not looking for perfection. Just the best of the non-establishment bunch that at least leans more than 50% Conservative. jeb, christie, carly and kasich do not count as even 50% Conservative. They are liberals and establishment.

I have tried to get into words just how truly idiotic and asinine your post is. ‘he tied his shoes wrong so I cannot support anyone who does that. an if he does that he will try to take over the world and be king of everyone.

Are you kidding me. Just to sum up your ‘rationale’ you can only be a troll. someone coming in here to spew idiocy and dissection. Go back to Democrats Underground-you’ll love Hillary.

“subject to the jurisdiction thereof”

That’s the part that does not mean what you think it means. But Ted Cruz knows what it means. :-)

Actually the languageis not clear at all and as such the courts should defer to the people. And the people should make clear that anchor babies do not bestow citizenship to them or freebies to the parents.

It’s not in the Constitution and there’s all kinds of corroborating evidence that it expressly wasn’t intended at the time it was written.

This guy lost me right there.
