From the article: “OK, this isnt what we expected, now how can we explain it?”
Yeah - but however they explain it they have to stick with global warming creed. What was it in there - all of the extra hot air concentrated the cold air?
By the way - those current images of the Arctic sea ice are fake. Al Gore and others said the Arctic would be ice-free by 2015.
This almost sounds like an admission from NASA that the climate models are not yet ready for prime time....:^)
That couldn't be the case though, could it... /S
Anyone seen Al Gore lately?
Yes. It/she is currently off the coast of Sonoma, and close to the county line of the Gualala River, via Mendocino County. Ever been to the Sea Ranch?
And Hudson Bay in the Northern Hemisphere is still 50 % covered with ice. 3 rd highest at this date in over 20 years. Hmmmm. What could possibly cause that ? And they call themselves scientist.
I know that the models don’t pay as much attention to the Sun as they should. (”The sun!!?? What - you think that has something to do with climate!!??? DENIER!)
Found on the net:
Contemporary solar activity reconstructions, however, show that solar activity increased during the 20th century by 1.5 - 4 W/m2 or 10 - 26 times more than assumed by the NASA-GISS model.....the GISS model uses up to ~5 times less solar forcing anomaly change in comparison to solar proxy data....
In addition, climate models do not consider any of the multiple solar amplification mechanisms which have been described in the literature. Thus, the IPCC and others dismiss the role of the Sun in climate by conveniently assuming solar activity changed 5 - 13 times LESS than the research indicates.

This is a flat out LIE from NASA. Overall global sea ice is 200,000 square km GREATER than the average since 1979. Here's the real data (courtesy Anthony Watts, wattsupwiththat):
Can’t be true. Obola and the media said the seas are due to rise 6 meters.
They made very sure to put out that the Arctic sea ice was shrinking. But you can be sure that, if they were reporting on shrinking Arctic sea ice, they would not feel compelled to mention growing Antarctic ice.
