The left depends upon the Right to obey the laws, because the Right usually does, while the left does not.
If things were ever really left to the left, we would rapidly turn to anarchy and economic ruin.
I can’t remember who said it. Someone. Jefferson seems right to me, but who knows. You are probably right. I can’t think how to search for it without having the exact quote.
You are correct. It was regarding Worcester vs. Georgia.
President Andrew Jackson reportedly responded: “John Marshall has made his decision; now let him enforce it!”
Old Soviet saying. They pretend to pay us. We pretend to work.
I am like the stopped clock........ right two times a day.
husband/wife/spouse with spouse meaning two of a kind
Things will continue to be left to the left as long as Republican presidents keep appointing closet-liberal justices to the USSC. Roberts got it right on this one case, but I predict that he will go back to his previous closet liberal status from here on, all the while pretending to be conservative. Of course that will be a lie because lying just comes natural to liberals, it's what they do.
I'll venture to make another prediction, this one based on historical reality. God defines homosexual acts as sin because it violates His law that He intended to propagate the human race. Accordingly, I now expect Him to withdraw His favor and divine protection from America, and rightfully so. IOW the divine protection that has enabled America to rise from a mostly unoccupied wilderness to the unprecedented status of most powerful nation in the history of the world. This rejection of God's law for governing people and nations isn't anything new, it's been going on ever since Adam ate the fruit that old smutty face offered to Eve and it won't stop with this USSC decision.
The problem with that is that there is no limit to what the Left will demonize. Their ways are subtle to the uninitiated.
I think it is no accident that the movie Glory was resurrected recently, before the shooting in Charleston. I fully expected another round of Redtails and Roots for 'Juneteenth', and maybe even Amistad but all that wasn't so obvious (I don't watch BET).
Any truly violent and racist whacko would be incensed, and the general sheeple prepped for sympathy for his victims.
Note, on the issue of homosexual 'marriage', how one who watches prime-time TV has been increasingly bombarded with the presence of characters who are 'out' or 'partners' shopping for homes or doing remodels. It is at the point where such shows are no longer watched in our home because of the inevitable faggotry. Not even networks with commercials showing homosexual (lesbian) kisses.
The preparatory bombardment of the population with the media blitz in every venue from 'news' of alleged wrongs to the target group, hate crimes, and the companion sitcoms and dramas to promote the agenda du jour. At times the next punch is telegraphed by the sitcom and other scripts on TV.
Our real problem is we work with reason which while accurate and effective a weapon in achieving physical results as a political weapon it does not have the power of emotion to encorage people to take the risks require to stand up to the Federal employees in black robes.
To think that there is no emotional aspect to the revulsion toward homosexuality in general (despite the attempts at desensitization), nor the attempt to ban the Confederate Battle Flag would be in error. Both elicit strong emotional reactions in ordinarily polite people.
Perhaps the problem isn't the lack of emotion, but the absence of dramatic displays thereof, including the violent and illegal lengths to which those promoting the causes of eliminating historical banners or defying nature are blatantly willing to go. Let us not ever underestimate the contribution to evil causes of the complicit media.
The only way to reach them is through the wallet--their sponsors. While a boycott may not be 100% effective, I will not patronize any sponsor of such media. If enough people do likewise, and inform the sponsors why, perhaps the drop in sales or shift of market share will get through.
LOL
I needed that laugh.
thanks
