IIRC, Gandalf was immortal. He was kind of like an angel sent to Middle Earth, and his service was to the Creator.

Meanwhile, making Dumbledore a homosexual puts a new light on his relationships with teen boys...but this ‘wedding’ is a sign of Rowling’s arrogance and ignorance combined. Only a fool would pull a stunt like this to promote what God has condemned, and what is obviously contrary to natural law. But I don’t think Rowling is big on biology, theology or other writers.

Gandolf may not be gay...but the character that played him is very much gay.

I read LOTR decades before that role was assigned to an actor with his own serious sexual issues. Don't get me wrong, I like McKellen's portrayal, but he's essentially irrelevant. Rowling's work is not even close to Tolkien's in terms of literary merit, but she does, at least, have the right to ascribe homosexuality to her character. McKellen does not, and I doubt greatly whether Tolkien would have approved.

JRR Tolkien spining in his grave as a faithful and traditional Christian Catholic and conservative!

Gandalf was immortal. He was kind of like an angel sent to Middle Earth, and his service was to the Creator.

Not exactly.

He was immortal only in the sense all souls are immortal. Like the rest of the Ainur (and the elves, FTM) he did not age or die naturally, didn't get sick. But he could be killed.

In fact, he was. After killing the Balrog, also an Ainur, BTW, as were Sauron and Saruman, etc., he died on the peak of Zirakzigil.

He was sent to Middle Earth by the Valar, demi-gods put in their positions by God. Gandalf was not sent by God Himself, who was very hands off in the story, interfering directly only at the end of the Second Age, when he destroyed Numenor and turned the Earth into a sphere.

After Gandalf died, his soul presumably left Arda (the world the rule of which was given by God to the Valar). He went beyond the world, and was sent back by God Himself. After this point in time, your post is entirely correct.

As a fan of the books (I've only read them 10 or 20 times) that is absolutely disgusting. When the corrupted faggot who played Gandalf just had to "come out" publicly with his perversion after the success of the movie, my wife got very tired of me making fun of it during the movie - "Oh Bilbo, I've got a dildo".

I'll believe this when I get a verifiable JK Rowling quote.
