The truth is being suppressed: the NTSB certainly has examined the tapes/event logs by now. Instead we are being flooded with a barrage of false directions to divert our attention from the actual events. If you have had any investigations of gay crimes, you would recognize the pattern. They will do anything to protect each other, including but not limited to destroying evidence, destroying records and making false statements.
We have a disordered man (who wears a "Free Hugs" sign on his days off) and we have a train accelerating from 70 to 106 mph in a minute before a sharp curve - which doesn't happen suddenly with trains - and we have 8 dead and scores injured.
All the other tripe about "insufficient funding" and rocks being thrown are smoke being used to block and divert attention.
In many cases the left posts these articles under the guise of a conservative website for that exact reason: make us look unhinged and illogical...
Many take the bait and they are laughing their asses off...
We are not NTSB investigators so we can state the obvious. The engineer of the train is responsible for the train going over 100mph. I see only two plausible reasons the engineer would accelerate the train to that speed. Either he has a daredevil like personality and was ok with putting everyone's lives in danger going at excessive speed or he was suicidal and the train was crashed deliberately. Either way he is responsible for the deaths of the passengers.
So I guess it’s his mothers fault.

Him being gay is good enough reason to investigate the possibility of mental issues or suicide.

We interviewed the dispatchers and we listened to the dispatch tape, and we heard no communications at all from the Amtrak engineer to the dispatch center to say that something had struck his train, Sumwalt said during an interview with ABC News’ George Stephanopoulos on This Week.
Nothing at all, Sumwalt said.

Go read the NYT articles. It is obvious they are trying to portray the engineer in the best possible light and deflect any potential blame away from him. That is the story here.

Not buying it. The Amtrak funding cuts articles would have come fast and furious as it was, and we don’t at this point know what effect a strike on the train—as apparently there were on two other trains in the same area in the same week—could have had in this case.
We just don’t know enough. But there’s no reason to expect that the guy being gay had anything to do with the crash and there’s no indication that it is relevant to the story at all.
If the guy weren’t gay, I suppose you would say the government isn’t paying enough attention to the attack, of whatever type, on the train so as to downplay terrorism.
In America today there are two categories of people whom the press treat entirely differently. First, there is the protected category consisting of groups such as blacks, homosexuals, etc. Second, there is the despised category consisting of conservatives, Christians, etc.
The press will go to any length, including outright lies, to safeguard those in the protected category. Conversely, they will to any length to destroy those is the despised category.
Obviously, this is not objective journalism. This is hate--from the very people who claim to be opposed to hate. This kind of ideology leads to fascism and death camps.

We also don't know that the Germanwings pilot was gay. There was speculation about that from the British tabloids, but no confirmation.
The Amtrak engineer in the 2008 Los Angeles crash was gay and texting right before the crash, but the crash wasn't deliberate.
There are a lot of gay men in LA and NY—so what?
It has been reported that this guy had his cell phone off and in his bag, per protocol, at the time of the accident.
