I’m a Widespread Panic fan these days, but the best Rock band of all time has to be Led Zeppelin. I would have loved to have seen them back in the day.

HEART. Ann Wilson has THE best voice in rock and roll, IMO. And she’s STILL got it. Nancy is very under-rated on guitar, too. Their 70s lineup was absolutely magical. Go listen to Mistral Wind off the Dog & Butterfly album. Perfection.

By definition, a rock band should include instrumentalists, so that excludes groups that are exclusively vocal. It's hard to choose which is my favorite, but some of my top choices include:
