The last mailing I got from FEMA wanted me to jump through more hoops... No. Absolutely not. They got their Letter of Map Ammendment and the Topographical maps from the surveyor. They officially released me from having to pay flood insurance for the life of my loan... the bank was satisfied. THAT IS THE END OF MY DEALINGS WITH FEMA.
I threw their little letter right in the trash. If they have a problem with that too bad. If they send someone to trespass on my property and they are shot, too bad.
Screw FEMA. Screw FEMA up the dirtchute with a 2x4.
We don't need any convention, we have ways if the elected would use it.
Who will miss FEMA if they’re gone? They’re just a money pit.

I think it's one of the few valuable federal agencies when they are used for their intended purposes that are hard to replace...
No state has the manpower or ability to address natural disasters quickly...
Having FEMA as the cavalry can save a lot of lives...
Bear in mind I'm talking about an agency that is properly utilized and properly funded...
Not the political tool it has become...
They should get in ASAP bringing the full weight and resources only the federal government can muster..and than get out as soon as the state can properly deal with the disaster ...
I lived through Hurricane Andrew...not directly affected as in my house was still in one piece, except for no power for 5 days...(That was really fun in the middle of August with five children and an infant !)
