Amen to that. I mean really folks. I'm not a geek, but isn't this Computer Networking 101 stuff of what not to do?
...........what if Putin called a press conference tomorrow and stood at a podium beside a big table loaded with 30,000 Hillary emails and simply said “Trey, here they all are, u wanna pick em up or u want me to send them to you Fedex?”
That's absolutely amazing. When I heard it, I thought, "Well the MSM will massage this and the LoFos will think it was okay, but I see some major problems."
She can't. Sure, whoever set up the server may be good, even very good. But security is an ongoing game. So even if, and that's a big if, it was a secure OS, running a secure server program and everything was up to date and configured properly... That was yesterday. Without ongoing monitoring of logs and system activity you don't know if you're under attack, have been breached, or not.
Even if you have someone keeping you up to date, how about simple physical security? Was the server room properly secured? Monitored/guarded 24x7? The rule of thumb is physical access equals total system access. How about the DSL or broadband lines into the home, secure or possibly tapped?
Then there's the problem of EMI and shielding. Was her computer at home only used in a properly shielded room. (aka a SCIF?) How about the server itself, shielded? No? If not, someone a good long ways away could have eavesdropped on everything transpiring.
There are far too many holes in her flimsy explanations and assurances. I would bet good money at least one foreign intelligence agency has every single bit of information off that server.
My theory on that is when you get to their level, you think you're above the law and you get sloppy. And to think the people that set this up didn't see a problem? Or were they 'just following orders' and 'don't cross Hillary'.
Reminds me of way back during the Troopergate articles a black maid who worked in the Arkansas Governor's Mansion was quoted as saying, "That woman, she got the devil in her."
Maybe we ought to root for Snowden going to Switzerland so he can be interviewed.
That maid was smarter than Hillary. Hillary has screwed up everything she has ever done. Nixon impeachment committee. Fired for being a corrupt liar. Hillary Care. Went down in flames because she wouldn’t compromise with her own lefty friends. Travel Gate. Totally unnecessary. Vince Foster. She got away with it but when you have to murder one of your closest friends? That’s a screwup. Benghazi. Now a private server with a combo e-mail account. Screwup.
“You also said today there were no security breaches. Hello? How can you competently say that?”
The whole set up is a massive security breach, from day one.
The phone rang at 0300 and nobody was home to answer the call!!
She’s too stupid/evil/crazy to be president.
She can't be president with every country in the world having a copy of her private server hard drive. Period. End of story.
Also reminds me, during the Troopergate days, I think it was New American had a long list of Bill Clinton and Hillary Clinton's list - separate lists mind you - of indictable offenses. Bill's was like 160 years total and Hillary's 140 years or some such. It's like the mob movies, "88 arrests, no convictions." Though in their cases, I don't think they've ever been arrested - that we know of.
Thank you for your professional input. I'm a ham radio operator and consider myself a 'low end geek' but knew this smelled from an IT security and shielding aspect. You described well what our concerns are. I too would bet good money that Russia, China and who knows who else has that hard drive. That's why Hillary either has to hand that server over tomorrow or the FBI has to go get it. No quarter.
“For all we know, she was hacked and is already compromised.” And whoever did it will do their best (money, etc.) to help her get the Presidency. Of course, not like Hillary needs any coersion to help our enemies. But, on the off chance she step out of line (Chicoms probably) they could wag their fingers.
The hacking is important, but I think the reason it was all on personal stuff was all of the traitoous crap she was doing. Arms to terrorists in Benghazi, then looking the other way. Who knows what other deals she made with our enemies to “keep the peace”. I can just imagine the string of emails during the “Arab Spring”. (”Okay - you can have Egpyt. Then we’ll help you fight Libya, and you can install your caliphate there. But give us two years before you move on Iraq...)”
And don’t get me started on Ukraine and Mr. “After the election I’ll have more flexibility” Obama.
Exactly, and the 'follow the money' quid pro quo deals she was making while Secretary of State and the money laundering to the Clinton Foundation. Can you imagine what some of those personal emails were like? And, as you said, what the Benghazi emails said, Arab Spring, Libya, Gaddaphi, Huma Abedin, Muslim Brotherhood, Obama during Benghazi, etc.
If that thing didn’t have certain software on it, particular firewalls in front of it, a nailed up circuit to the White Hut...it was never secure...
Then she can't run for President. .
Sure she can.
We know things about her, we don’t know about barry
