"Ve simply turn off das transponders, mein herren...."
“We’ll meet again......don’t know where, don’t know when....”
They make the biggest fuss over the ‘invisibility’ thing. The Russians didn’t go invisible, they just didn’t cooperate with civilian ATC, just like drug smuggling flights don’t.
So, that's their secret!
This has aviation accident written all over it. Apparently, they’ve learned nothing from KAL 007 and MH 17.
With the economies on both sides of the pond unraveling, Russian influence in former East Bloc regions growing
RUBBISH!
Well, why are we spending a billion bucks per stealth bomber then??
lol
/sarc
but if a bomber goes down, the Russians accuse the US-UK of launching a war against them
Puts knows that the timer is ticking. When Obama goes and an adult is in charge in the White House again all this is done.
They may have been invisible, but they could be heard while still over Calais.
And does what? Launch a war against the U.S.? End the world in s nuclear conflagration? Wow, congrats their Pootie, you will have really showed the world then.
There goes this source's reliability. There was no missile launch off the coast of California.
Nah, Obama would back down and apologize for being mean to his country
They may not have been well painted on Eurocontrol radars but you can be sure RAF radars and USAF radars in England saw them early and tracked them throughout their flight.
Air defense radars don’t depend on cooperative transponders.
I’ve noticed they’ve used Bears and all of their incursions. I asked someone who knows more than a little bit about the subject why their Backfires and Blackjacks are never used in these drills. He said it’s likely they are trying to keep avionics signals and radar signatures under wraps as much as possible. When they start being seen, I’d probably get a little nervous.
Meh. The Russian economy is making some really good moves.
They noticed the could get more value selling their fuels for Yuan than selling it for Euros.
Kaching!
