I wonder if they realize that a backlash could be building?
To: 2ndDivisionVet
Maybe they will give us the honest look at MLK we really need.

They’ve chosen retribution over justice.

Why do we need to re-live this shit every January? Isn’t half the streets in America named after him enough?

When MLK was alive, there were discriminatory laws against blacks.
Today, there are discriminatory laws or regulations or quotas against whites, Asians, etc...in favor of blacks.
The circumstances are vastly different now.

You need to re-live it because it’s still working for its intended purpose, and until that stops, it will go on and on and on...

MLK was revered (and got his own holiday) because he chose a different path than the radicals. They have no right to co-opt him now (but they will anyway.). The family should fight over that, rather than $$$.

MLK was just an affirmative action holiday, being revered took the union government teachers brainwashing kids for 35 years.

MLK died forty-seven years ago. Two generations of black Americans and white Americans have no real idea who he was and certainly weren’t around when he was alive. More to the point, just what exactly did he do to advance civil rights?

Are you kidding?
They know a hell of a lot more about him than Jefferson,or FDR,or Reagan.

Doesn’t matter-—he’s been sanctified.

MLK was not a Republican in any meaningful way.
He was a revolutionary, a successful one, and the fruits of his revolution are yet to be assessed.

"His niece says otherwise." His niece said she was mistaken about that.

News to me. On the website National Black Republican she’s saying something entirely different. Sounds like she’s playing both sides.
