We were blasting beaver dams on Matthews Brake MS in 70s at duck camp near Egypt plantation

After firing off some sticks with saw a floating beaver....near the blast site

A buddy reached out of the old wooden Grumman half canoe and grabbed it

Several hours later the docs at Greenwood LeFlore county medical finished last of over 100 stitches

I had a mean one charge off land toward me while kayaking in a lake in the Poconos..Scared the hell out of me. From that point on I always have a firearm in the kayak while on the lake.

I live in a northern suburb of Detroit and last winter I saw a dead beaver beside the road that had been hit by a car. The only water around is a watershed drain where a few years ago a pair of beavers had built a dam.

My neighbor called the DNR to remove them since the damn posed a threat of flooding to our complex access road in the event of a heavy rain storm.......
