The United States Army Army was the enemy of the Confederate States Army from 1861 to 1865. Your opinions have no bearing on that fact.
The Confederate Army, as did many of those I mentioned, lost the war to the United States Army.
Around a million people, if you include civilians, died as a result of the War Between the States.
Of the military deaths, two thirds of them were Yankees.
The Confederate States Army lost the war. It’s generals surrendered their armies to Officers of the United States Army and the CSA ceased to exist. That is the price of defeat.
