Oh great. Another "FReeper" who posts half-assed imbecilities before he even reads the article.

"Thus, Lively has released the following statement encouraging his supporters to vote for Mark Fisher in the Republican primary on Sept. 9:

I am asking my supporters to vote for Mark Fisher, a genuine conservative, in the Republican Primary on September 9th. If Mark can win the primary, I have promised to defer to his candidacy and bow out of the race should he make a strong showing approaching the general election. I will not be the reason an authentic conservative Republican would lose the governor's seat.

Really a conservative independent is the BIGGEST reason why Republicans cannot win the governorship in MA?? Really?

Have you had your head stuck in Plymouth Rock?

RINO Chuckie Baker is a hard-core Socialist Willardbot. Vote for Fisher in the GOP primary, Lively in the general.

Really?

You’re starting to sound like someone else on FR - “Vote for the candidate with 0% name recognition. He’s a good conservative.”

If you have two left-wing moonbats representing the Dems and the GOP, whom do you vote for ? Let the Democrats own their ideological failure. Baker’s just another useless moonbat fake. Changing parties but keeping the same corrupt and decayed leftist ideology is not the solution for MA.

In this case, in this state, I’ll go with what AuH2O posted last week about something being better than nothing.

Baker sucks, I won’t argue that because I believe that. But putting another full bore RAT in is unacceptable. I’ll take the lesser of the two sh*tty options, which in this case is Baker.

In any other state, Baker would be a Democrat. If he had any integrity, he’d run as one. Hawaii is a Democrat-left state and the GOP Gubernatorial candidate is a Conservative. There’s no excuse for one not running here. RINO Governors get you precisely nothing but trouble in the end and only set back Conservative/GOP growth. MA didn’t become a moonbat state under Democrat Governors, but under RINOs.

I love it when a southerner thinks he can tell people in Massachusetts how they should vote.

That statement shows that you, as a southerner, know NOTHING about MA politics.

You think RINO governors have made MA liberal? LOL And you probably think the MA legislature has no power.

My residency is a red herring argument. I’ve probably written more about MA politics over the past dozen or so years than anyone else on this website. It’s a premier example of the disaster that happens when the left wing takes over a state GOP.

Doubling down on red herrings will get you nowhere, madam. Offer some substantive arguments or I’ll take you to be another mindless Willardbot (or would it be Bakerbot ?) cheerleader.

RINO Governors have moved the state to the left over the decades, but most especially since the cancer known as William Weld laid to waste a resurging state party in the ‘90s, to be buried by Willard 16 years later.

And, in fact, thanks to the RINO Governors enhancing the numbers of Democrats in the General Court to the point the GOP can caucus in a phone booth, that’s yet one more example of how they pushed the state to the left. Mike Dukakis could not accomplish such a feat (and may I remind you the state had not jumped off the cliff prior to the ‘90s, it was Dems Ed King & Dukakis, that the state last voted GOP for President). How’d that work out for the post-1990 Governors ?

You can only vote your conscience. But I couldn’t rubber stamp what I already know will be a fiasco. How many times have we seen this crap before and get suckered into it only to have it end the same way ? The state party itself is run by elitist leftists who despise Conservatives. These cretins must be destroyed completely and the party rebuilt from the grassroots up. Even if the state imported a Paul LePage, he’d be hamstrung as to what he could do on Beacon Hill. Work on getting the numbers up in the legislature and the lesser state offices. Getting up to a bloc that can sustain a veto is when electing a Governor becomes important and influential again. The same advice I’ve given now for many years.

All true. FMDJ is one of the most knowledgable posters on FR; in addition, he studies MA politics like few people do.
