Ping to Trump suddenly reviving an interest in vetting Barry’s various claims as to his origins at the National Press Club just as Arpaio is reaffirming his ongoing investigations! A coincidence???
It will be interesting to see if the “incurious” mainstream media follows up at all with POTUS Barry to see whether he will corroborate Trump’s recollection of this offer and inquire as to why he would deprive his favorite charities of such a huge sum it he had nothing to hide, especially after promising “transparency”!
Because of the timing, and because the liberal networks gave him lots of air time, I’ve always assumed that The Donald was covertly working for Obama when he pulled that stunt. He pretty much succeeded in killing the birther controversy in the public press. In particular, he killed any MSM investigation into the on-line COLB posted in the White House, right before the bin Laden raid distracted attention from it—although numerous experts pointed out that the new COLB was an obvious forgery.
So, yes, there must be some reason why he is speaking out again now. And I seriously doubt that it’s because he’s going after Obama.

I totally disagree with your analysis, but am unable to devote the time to refute it in detail at this moment.
Yes, of course it’s speculation. But I think the timing was suspect.
And if you check his record of political donations, Trump is not a conservative. He gave mostly to Democrats, and to RINO Republicans. I haven’t checked that for a while, but it was certainly the case back then.

In a speech before the National Press Club (yesterday?), Trump supposedly claimed he upped the offer 10x. I haven’t had an opportunity to view the video myself. Perhaps folks are lying about what he said.
“I’d love to see what’s put down. Why didn’t a man take $5 million for his favorite charity? Now then what wasn’t reported by the press is sometime, just prior to the expiration date of that offer, I raised the offer to $50 million. $50 million, for charity! Pick your charity, $50 million, let me see your records. And I never heard from him.”

No, he did make that claim but in the Blaze article done shortly after the deadline for Obama to respond, Trump says 5 mil but that he was willing to raise the amount. He never gives out a number. The 50 mil number is new.
