COLD
Commonsense Oversight for Law Enforcement Drug Use
Every state should have a COLD group getting ballot initiatives organized:
"Any sworn officer involved in a lethal force incident must submit to a blood and urinalysis drug test within 24 hours."
Obviously, lawyered-up to be legal-languaged, but it would be a joy to watch law enforcement try to explain why they SHOULDN'T be drug-tested immediately after killing someone.
After all, if they have nothing to hide, why refuse? Right? Play their own damn game.

Resisting arrest was punishable as a misdemeanor in the courts when I was a prosecutor.
I guess the system was too much trouble for the COPs so now the death penalty is imposed roadside.
If five thugs killed a cop they would be sentenced to death or LWOP.
But here these five will be given a paid vacation while an “investigation” takes place.
