" Labyrinth with young Jennifer Connelly is another in the same genre but TDC is in a class of its own."

I was going to say "I remember those knockers", but I realized that comment might be taken amiss.

So I'm glad I didn't say that.

Probably just Pat and me (and he’s more difficult ;-), unless Kathleen starts acting Patlike. Anoreth is only obsessive about guns, not tree-fronds.

“The access tower is flooded. The water pressure at the bottom is crushing, and the water temperature is too cold for you to survive. You will never make it to the bottom alive.” the suit AI was quite helpful.
Jacob snorted, poked his nanites with some questions, ruminated on their responses, then opened the hatch.
“You are quite refreshingly insane, much like your grandfather!” the suit AI pleasantly chimed in.

I think it’s important to be cheerful and upbeat during a disaster.

Disaster, rescue, war, the final ripples of the decisions of one man over a century prior.
Yes, it is helpful to be upbeat in the face of that.
I haven’t the heart to tell Soames, but most of what happens/happened is the result of his decisions.
I think, on some level, he’s aware of it.

New tagline possibility for Silentgypsy:

“The Moon? Oh yes, I’ve been there. Worked on the smelter project in the winter of ‘26. It was cold out there, and Death lurked at every turning. Our ship was primitive, you understand, just the basics really. All anyone could afford. I knew that lunar dust was getting into my joints alright. Soon I might be stuck in the bottom of a crater with no mobility and no communications. Danger? Hah! I laugh at danger! The only relief from the strained vision and constant mortal peril was the girl in my crew compartment. Oh, I didn’t mention her? Well, let me tell you about what low gravity does for a woman’s figure, and ...”

We have a deep icy pond across our side yard. (It’s actually the neighbor’s deep icy pond. It has some nasty turtle-types which may have been responsible for the demise of a couple of ducks.)

They scrubbed it. They also scrubbed “Dukes of Hazzard” and “The Notebook.” I exercycled my way through “Elvis,” though. Thanks again!

I actually get many of them from typos and mispronunciations. Plus plain old dyslexia.

I thought you moved your fingers one position over on the keyboard.
