Poor KITTEH!!!
Looks like it’s BERRY cold where the kitteh’s sit-upon is! Br-r-r-r-r!
I’ve seen the wind chill here at -9, but the coldest I’ve been in, personally, has been about -22. Which is why “cold” is a four-letter word!
GAH!!! *shiver*
Moving back to Texas, soon??? ;o]
Congratulations to Tom!!! When will he start? (Realizing, of course, that financial aid still has to be settled!)
Barbarians at the Gate: Story of the Ross Johnson RJR-Nabisco takeover (an older made for tv movie, but really good, James Garner really shines)
Just tell him , if not already known, that his future depends on it....worked with me.
Found it amazing ,years later, just how much of the obvious you don’t understand as a teen.
Bryan gets a nice hot cup of tea on his nightstand every morning to get him up.
He will start in August of this year. It’s a tremendous opportunity - practically no 17-year-old has the opportunity to have a complete residential college program paid for. App State is a high-side-of-average school, and the Honors College will give him lots of connections and career possibilities.
If his Honors College essay was good enough for admission, I assume the other three he wrote for the Merit Scholarship application would also be adequate. One of those was about coal ash pollution, and we all learned about Thallium poisoning, and I read two relevant murder mysteries!
That is such good news all the way around! Tom will no doubt benefit greatly from this opportunity.
In other news, I will go early in the morning (late for me) and get my hair cut so I don’t look so much like a raving lunatic.
Maintenance came today and FIXED the bathroom light problem, so I don’t have to turn on the high-powered heat lamp to brush my hair!
Friday, I go for my final post-op on my cataract surgery, so I’m hoping he tells me to dispense with the drops. Putting them in four times a day is becoming a nuisance. *sigh*
And that’s about all the news that’s fit to print for one day...
Congrats on the lights and the haircut. I hope your eyes are good, too!
Yaay! Face doesn’t have to poop in the dark anymore!
(I’m going to go shut up for a while now....)
Ohhhh, Cyber...that was silly!!!
Fingers are crossed. :)
I’m anxious to have SOME part of me that works properly! LOL! I still have to remember that I need reading glasses for almost everything around the house, but outside of that, I’m good.
I got some Preparation H for the swelling under my eyes (chronic sinus infection) and when I see the regular doctor for my follow-up after the Echo and the Stress test, I will ask for a referral to an ENT to see what can be done.
Everyone who has been in NV for three years or more has allergies, so it is an ENT doctor’s haven. Golden goose? Yah. Like that.
Be careful typing!
Hope they can do something for your sinuses! I’d like my sinuses to clear up, too. Unnngh.
Now I need to load up stuff for Cub Scouts. I’d like to stay home, but then I’d have to get my meeting plan organized enough for DP to run the meeting!
That caused a Tolkien moment. ...
Hope all is well, 'face.
Oh. An Ent moment is totally different than and ENT moment.
And dang me. I’m getting the flashing lights that precede the migraine. Ungh...
