It sounds like a full day, and a relaxing on. We take our blessings where and when they show up!
You and DP could always make a late dinner...I mean, how romantical can that be???
I feel as if I have missed something in not following along with you on reading the LOTR books to the byos.
I’m sure I need to go to bed, but I want to stay up as long as I can so I can take advantage of the humidity. I coughed myself awake this morning (having spent most of the night doing the same and changing whatever needed to be changed) and it is so nice to NOT cough more than just a time or two...mostly, I think it’s a test... *hahaha*
When I was outside today, I saw a couple of neighbors I haven’t seen for a while. (I blame it on the general malaise cause by anemia) One is a cancer survivor who at last has some color to her face and some texture besides the grayish-yellow, gritty look I had seen before.
The other person looks like death warmed over. She asked me and the gal I was talking to if either of us had a phone. For whatever reason, she has lost her phone service. When she drives her car, she can’t seem to park it properly and I don’t know if that’s because she can’t see, she is drunk or she is too ill to be behind the wheel in the first place.
At any rate, she is a concern to me because she has no children or siblings. That is always a sad situation. She doesn’t look well, so I will pray that the Lord does what is best for her, be it healing or being with Him.
Nicholas Gage was awesome with Holly Hunter in “Raising Arizona.” It should be on Netflix. John Goodman is in it, as well. It’s a fun movie.
The byos’ and I are about to arrive at the border of Mordor with Frodo, Sam, and Gollum. Our next chapter is “The Black Gate is Closed.” It’s a depressing part of the book, but the boys are interested in the interaction of Frodo, Sam, and Gollum. Gollum’s dialogue makes me think of Tom, for some reason.
If we didn’t go out to dinner until after 8:00, we’d fall asleep. Also, it’s going to be very cold tonight. Maybe we can go out Monday; there’s no Scouts because of the Federal holiday.
Frank’s new t-shirt shows Darth Vader and some clone troopers on the swings at a playground. Pat and his brothers ...
Dang. Just to let you know how “out of it” I have been, it would seem the last almost four months have been less than optimum. I have been so unaware and spent so much time wondering why I felt so bad that I haven’t been able to focus on the things that are important.
Tom is an entity to be reckoned with. But for his physical stature, he would make a good Gollum at Halloween!
Here’s hoping you get a Date Night on Monday! That would be good for both of you! Even better would be that he order you flowers, dress up, leave by the back door, ring the front door bell, hand you the flowers and tell you he is excited for his date with you! (Well, I can dream, can’t I?)
I keep telling myself to print up that pic I took of the three byos at the picnic table in the yard, with Ash doing her mooching trick, just so I can have it to look at.
It’s my favorite memory of my first visit.
Aw, that would be sweet. I do like it when a guy puts some decent clothes on. If I can square the babysitting situation and figure out how to get Tom and Elen home from Envirothon practice, we’re going to a fancy do at the Botanical Garden next Friday.
If it’s not totally freezing, I can wear my size 0 silk dress from The Salvation Army. I wore it to Pamela Hernandez’s Quinceanera, but it was so cold that I had my coat on the whole time and nobody could see how stuning I looked.
Ash was the Finest of Dogs.
And if I had time and the colors, I could crochet you a stuning shawl to go with the size 0 silk dress from the Salvation Army; you could be Visiting Royalty!
Ash was the Queen of all dogdom. I missed her, last I was there.
*snif*
I have a cream-colored wide silk scarf, but it’s not very warm!
Well, *ahem* if you could tell me the other colors in your size 0 Salvation Army silk dress, I might be able to “ookey-dook” something (as me dear sainted mother said.)
I may have something on hand...talk fast...;o]
It’s black and white. But even if you could wonk something by next Friday, it wouldn’t arrive by U.S. Snail Mail.
My mom said that my aunt said that I look too thin in the pictures from Christmas. I think it’s just my aunt had forgotten how OLD I am!
I was thinking more in terms of something I already had on hand. Black and white could use contrast, yes? Let me see what I can find...
I have a red and white wrap that my co-teacher, Fatima, gave me a couple of years ago. It would be warmer than the scarf. I think the event is in the Orchid Conservatory, so it should be warm, right?
A Tolkien Lovecraft mash up series “Lord of the Innsmouth”.
I’d read the daylights out of that.
Did you like my Timmy gets puked out by Cthulhu story?
It wasn’t really Cthulhu, though. Can you figure out who it was? I’ve selected a candidate, but I’m not an expert.
I have the perfect thing...do you like Pashmina?
If so, it will go into the mail Monday AM. Priority.
I’m quite fond of Pashmina, but Monday is a Federal holiday and the Post Orifices and banks will be closed.
And here I thought you’d made the whole thing up.
Cthulhu wouldn’t eat Tom. “Bleh, rancid. When did he take a shower, anyway?”
