Good. I hope every Obamabot piece of excrement loses its job, home, car, health.

FRiend, please be careful what you say. I know you didn't mean it, but we should wish Obama supporters well too.

Sorry, “white flight” killed the cities.

If everyone goes and hides in the woods, and stops fighting for what is worth fighting for, it’s a roll over for the Dems.

I’ll stand my ground.

I’m not going to hide in a bunker with 20,000 rounds of ammunition.

I fight every week with our Kane County school board. I fight every week with our U46 panels. I fight every week to change this area. I fight for those that cannot move, because they are too old, or maybe they have family here.

I am disgusted by those who flee from a fight. I closed my business 2 years ago because of union intervention. Not because I was a coward, but because it was a fight, and I won by putting a dozen asshats out of work because they thought they could bully me. I am retired now, and have nothing to do but go to council meetings, and raise hell.

I am disgusted by “preppers” who hide away in some far off place, and who launch attacks against those of us who stay and fight.

I am not yet ready to turn this country, or my state over. Maybe some day I will, but not this day. There are too many good people here in Illinois. Every county is Republican except for Chicago (Cook) and Springfield, and that’s a lot of counties.

Unfair and shallow? Maybe, but I’d rather die with my boots on then quivering in some cave with canned food hoping they don’t come take my family away.

Wisdom? Wisdom is another word for cowardice. I bet McCain has “Wisdom”. F Wisdom. I was taught to have backbone. I will die with respect of my children and grandchildren. I will die standing up, facing my aggressor, not running from him. What lesson is that to teach your kids if you run away?

I am not attacking YOU directly. You do what is right for your family. I am attacking those who attack us “Yankees” for standing to fight. We keep the fight HERE, so it doesn’t come to YOU. We keep the fight on the front-lines, so others don’t have to. If not us, who will?

Don’t tell me Soyonara, and don’t tell all of Illinois Soyanara. We are good people, and we don’t deserve to be abandoned like those at Benghazi.

/rant off

Sorry you are so deluded. We are at nothing less than WAR, and you don't play nicey-nice with your sworn enemy. And these people are the implacable enemies of civilization, sound reason, and everything godly and wholesome.

Are you a conscientious objector?

Actually we are going to runaway from YOUR problems. The. They won’t be OUR problems anymore.

Good bye Illinois, hello Texas.

Funny thing about running away from problems. No matter where you go, there you are.

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

You jump to a lot of conclusions about things no one has posted in this thread. For example:

I am disgusted by “preppers” who hide away in some far off place, and who launch attacks against those of us who stay and fight.

I don't see any attacks. I did see a negative comment but hardly an attack. I'm semi-retired and fight the battle just as well, but not the same as you. I'm also trying to launch a partnership with some people in Brasil and I have grave concerns about Illinois taxes. At some point, the cost of living in Illinois will force me to make some difficult choices. I feel sorry for people who are stuck in Illinois. I don't want to reach the point where I have no choice.

You also say

I am not yet ready to turn this country, or my state over.

I think there is nothing to turn over in Illinois; they already have it. I suppose I could move from Cook to another county, but isn't that doing what you seem to oppose? How about you moving to Cook and helping us out? Do you see where this could go?

We are not enemies but we each have circumstances that are a matter of life and death and force us to make different decisions. I may have to move my fight elsewhere. That is just the way it is.

Agreed, and that is a very sensible argument.

You hit me in the face with moving to Cook County. I concede.

and you are correct, I guess it’s just the frustration of over the years hearing time and time again, let the “Yankees” deal with it. Or, let Illinois go die, or whatever. Sorry for the rant.

There are some (insiders) in State Government that have suggested that Chicago is so cooking the books about some of these things that even the published statistics and economy for the entire state are grossly optimistic. Optimistic? Yea. It’s even worse than they are reporting. Chicago is using its own standards to report jobs, employment, revenue and expenses. They are using accounting tricks to move bad info off of sheets and bolster those numbers that go into the state wide calculations. I just can’t believe there is layer after layer of corruption in and around Chicago. I’ve never heard of such a thing.

Needs to be repeated, excellent post, just wow. Sounds like Detroit they played fast and furious with the number of people in the city, amongst other things...

Believe me, I know the frustration you are talking about. I was on a school board in NJ and I could write volumes on the frustration, corruption, complacency, greed, incompetence and betrayal I witnessed. I was a one-termer and the target of three unions for removal. My conclusion from that experience: home school, and I did.

Just keep fighting where ever circumstances take you. There will always be vermin waiting for us to drop our guard no matter how safe the ground looks. Let’s make them move, heheh.

We will be there, but we won’t be in a bankrupt State run by Madigan and company. The textbook definition of insanity is repeating the same actions over and over again while expecting different results.

Staying in Illinois one second longer than absolutely necessary fits that definition to a T.

If you want to follow "everything godly and wholesome" then you need to love your enemies. I do not appreciate being called "deluded" for this, but I understand your passion.

Then the question still stands. Are you a conscientious objector?

If you were in the Armed Services, would you kill an enemy on the battlefield?

I’m not sure how old you are but I’d lived in IL for over 50 years. I did my share of ‘fighting’, on school boards, at town hall meetings, as a community trustee, and I did my share of taxpaying, as well....raised and educated my family there, including myself! It’s a free country and a large country and to this day, even after extensive world travel, I thank God I am a citizen of the United States.

The “suckers” I refer to are those that continue to allow that state to circle the drain and stand there and watch it....just as so many “suckers” do this country. As long as the Democratic Power Base remains entrenched, there will always be a fight, hopefully, right minded people like you will stay engaged! I wish you the best, but now I prefer to ride my horses, in an undisclosed, AFFORDABLE location....
