I realized what Peter King was all about when he came out asking for leniency for his good friend Charlie Rangel, when Rangel was facing expulsion for a litany of crimes. Peter King is happy to be part of “the club”.
Cruz is not going to prevent the Senate from adding the funding back in...and he most certainly should not keep quiet. He’s the only one making a lick of sense.
Even if it’s unsuccessful due to Reid’s machinations, this is a winner of an issue. GOP just needs to frame it right - “we voted to avoid a shutdown, but Democrats are rejecting that the save the most unpopular law in American history”.
Bingo LostInBayport. I use to think that King was a strong Long Island Republican with the cajones to stand up for the truth and safety of America. Now he’s just another mccain, he puts his nose in the air to smell where the fart stench is coming from.

There is the crux of the matter. The question is, do we have enough new media to get the message out?
The MSM will do everything they can to obfuscate and to blame Conservative Republicans.

I realized he was a fraud when he attacked fellow Republicans for trying to change the Hurricane Sandy Relief bill to eliminate the dozens of pork barrel spending attachments to it.
