If you saw that little Pink Thing in action, you would be tempted to say she is “spoiled.” The truth is, there are too many people who love her fiercely for her to be swayed by material things.

However, when she turns two years old, all bets are off!

Kathleen has four full-time minions, plus Tom. Their goal is to use her as an excuse to avoid all useful activity.

The farm stand up the road from us has lots of pumpkins. We just haven’t gotten any yet.

Not your squirrel...because he didn’t survive?
If it had been one of yours, the place would have been leveled in squirrely wrath?

Sounds good! Some of the butternut squash is beckoning to be made into soup here..... Have fun!

I would have to go to Trader Joe’s for squash, I think. No place else has anything worth eating.

Yes, Mr Flibble didn’t live long enough to be a momma squirrel, had she, I’m sure her little darlings would easily level a store, between episodes of getting their lives together and going to squirrel college to better themselves, in the times not already blocked off in practice for their promising rap and b-ball careers...

Ohmy!

I had to send that to my daughter, Lablady, as she is a true Halloweener...er...Spooky girl.

(I sure wish I could talk her into joining FR...)

Ah, yes. The terrible twos. I remember them well, with 10 nieces and nephews who were not much younger than I was, I saw them ten times.

I was so fortunate with my son...I had no clue what the Terrible Twos were because he was such a good, sunny, FUNNY kid! I don’t know what my daughter was like because she was eight when I got her.

I just know she made up for everything my son didn’t do, until the day she left home! And that was three years after he did! LOL!

I wouldn’t trade either of them, though. All experiences are good in the proper light...

I was jonesing for butternut squash last winter but they don’t stock it in the frozen food sections here (who’da thunk it?). We started summer and winter squash from seed last spring but Mr. Sg lost his labels in a flurry of seedling fatalities and gave away a bunch of viable transplants to one of the local preachers. We got a selection of zucchini and butternuts and so did preacher and his neighbor who was a little behind in growing his seeds. However, I’m going to be better organized next year. This year worked out well but, hopefully, next year we’ll have a better idea of what we’re actually doing lol!

That looks great! I can make it healthier for hubby by substituting cottage cheese and as long as I bury it under all the other good stuff, nobody would notice! Thank you.
