"Garlic would be off-putting, I suppose ..." Its usefulness would probably depend on the number of vampires and werewolves in the local population.

None here. I’m too near Gilroy...

Just out of curiosity, what were your feet wearing before the real shoes? Sending good vibes re: your van.

Emergency Vegemite substitute: kangaroo butter.
Frighteningly, I can actually see all of it in the minds eye.

Before the “real shoes,” my feet had bright orange socks and a pair of worn-out canvas flats from Walmart. The real shoes are black leather pumps, 1” heel.
The van returned ... but when we came out from Mass, air was leaking rapidly from the left front tire. Drove to a Bridgestone shop just the other side of the interstate, and DP has remained there until the tire is fixed. I brought Tom, Elen, Pat, and Vlad home in the truck.
Tom and Elen are supposed to be getting their dirty clothes in the laundry basket, so I can start wash. Two kids times two days shouldn’t be more than two loads ... except that Tom’s clothes are really big!

Okay, so kangaroo butter would be an improvement over Vegamite.

Vegemite isn’t that bad, on toast with eggs.

It’s almost worry free, now, and certainly pain free!
I never knew any family members who had the surgery, though I know my mother had cataracts. She also had osteoporosis, and between the two of them, she felt as if her life was over and that she didn’t want to live any more.
Of course, that was back in the day before computers were common, but she didn’t even know where to go to research the conditions.
Times have changed, and information is at one’s fingertips, and I’m so HAPPY with my surgery, I can’t stand myself! I’m impatient to get the other eye done!
I hope you consider it seriously. No worries! I promise!
I was up and out of that place within 10 minutes of the surgery being completed, and except for eye drops that had to put in four times a day, and a lens that had to be taken out of my glasses, I was watching TV and reading within just a little while of getting home. No pain! GOFERIT!

So what do the vampires do on Halloween when they want to haunt Gilroy??? Throw Evil Water on the offending fields?

I got two loads of clothes washed, but I haven’t hung any up. That was pushing it, for a Sunday, for me.
And I learned, while I was washing clothes, that I’m on my own when I take the truck in tomorrow morning. Unless I walk. I believe it’s about two miles, so it’s do-able. Of course, I may not even be able to take it...

I’ve got wash on, and we got the tire on the van fixed. Elen’s going on about how cold it was all weekend. Tomorrow we have to get the refrigerator repair guy back. It’s iced up again and not refrigerating. We have some things in the ice chest, and we lost a batch of reduced-price chicken legs. DP was going to cook them last night, but Jake and I said, “What’s that interesting smell ...?”

Thank you for the encouragement I will do it one of these days. Doc says I am borderline now.
To: Ditter
Sooner, or they'll tell you they can't do it because you aren't nomenklatura.
