This guy used to be the poster boy for “pray away the gay” groups until he was caught hanging out in a gay bar. He was even featured in Newsweek (alongside his “ex-lesbian” wife) promoting reparative therapy.

If they were by word, and not by epistle, then they would not be scriptural. Only the ones passed by epistle would be scriptural.

The format of the Mass - liturgy of the Word followed by liturgy of the Eucharist is an example of a tradition that was not passed by epistle.

The Catholic Church teaches that while homosexual sex is a sin, having homosexual feelings is not; it may be inborn and never go away, that’s why celibacy is encouraged in the church.
