Yeah. Ultimately, whatever Barry is, politically or religiously, he is up to a point. And that point is where he’s personally at risk. He might be a zealot, but he is not a martyr. Come to think of it, for that reason, I could not only see him betraying the purgers and then fleeing into exile if it didn’t work, I could very easily see him having them whacked even if it did. As far as the Fox arrests, I mean, the resistance was sniping officials pretty much at will, or their security down to the poor uniformed schmucks at the door. Backing up jail buses to the News Corp Building and 400 North Capitol in broad daylight was going to stop that how, exactly?

No, they don't. It's unimaginable to them that so many of their political opposites would kill and die for an oath, since words are just disposable political tools to them. Very well said. Excellent message. Many people have latent heroism in them.

Especially once that it’s shown that singleton “Militias of One” are nearly impossible to counter or stop. After the first examples, copycatting will go viral. At least, in that theory of warfare.

Personally I think the plan was doomed once the shooting started, but Jacinda, spoiled old brat that she is, must have somebody to blame for its failure. It’s a common lament by the losing side that they should have fought one more battle. If only Lee retreated from Appomatox Courthouse to the mountains and took up a guerrilla war. Air cover to the Bay of Pigs invaders. Excuses. But that’s Jacinda. She has a mind of her own, and it’s often divided.

I pray daily that those who perpetrate evil will see the light, that it may make it easier to forgive them.
At the same time, though, I am a contingency planner, and plans B, C, D, and E all have a list of those sorts worthy of special attention should things unravel.

Just based on observations of behavior, I do believe that the two folks in the story are under the control of blackmail.
