and who is gonna fund the “Me generation’s” retirement?
Head in sand voting by both generations ensured financial disaster awaits like a ticking time bomb.

I’m 61 and will start collecting SS at 67. I won’t retire, just collect my SS which I paid for. I’ll pay SS tax and income tax on my SS. I’ll put the rest in a retirement fund.

Actually,if you never come back up on the grid they never will. LMAO! When I left my job after 20 yrs my phone rang constantly. After I explained that I was now a consultant,it never rang again.
They're still hunting me from 1974.

Thanks for your supportive comments. I apologize for responding so late after you made them.
We are enjoying our retirement in the country, on the farm. My wife is as happy as I’ve seen her in years. She loves the rural lifestyle, growing her garden, tending to the livestock, not having to fight traffic in the city. Takes her back to her youth she says. I am happy too because she is happy. We don’t make much income in our retirement except for the enjoyment of our labors, which at this stage in our lives is most important.
I don’t consider ourselves “losers”. Quite the contrary. Life is good.
