Apparently, the conservative movement and the moderates within the Republican Part as well have so little patience that they can’t learn that this overwhelming majority has to be BUILT. You can’t just expect everything to be just like you want it - right now! You can’t expect the perfect candidate, the landslide victory, the flawless administration; that’s not reality. What you do have to do is PULL TOGETHER toward BUILDING A BASE from which to BUILD A CONCRETE FUTURE, and then keep building. Unlike the Republican majority of the early 90’s, you do not have the luxury of relaxation. The committment has to be 110%, and it has to be for 110% of the time for all time. Throwing a little temper-tantrum ‘cause you didn’t get immediate gratification speaks directly to maturity and committment.
Perhaps you intended this comment for someone else because NO where did I say that.
Agreed. I will vote against Obama.
You, like so many, are missing the point this election.
Get good House candidates on the ballots and conservatives will show up.
While they’re at the polls they’ll-reluctantly- cast a vote for Romney.
RINOs get the Presidency, ‘moderates’ get the Senate, conservatives get the House and everyone’s happy.
It’s called ‘compromise’ and RINOs should learn it.
Allen West?
True, but they have also passed several bill that did get through the senate. Have you forgotten that big budget deal that saved a whopping 36 million. Or the debt ceiling issue that was raised by 2 trillion only 8 monthis ago (and is almost gone).
They are incapable of saying no to anything.
“To anyone refusing to vote for mittens (i.e., against Obama) .....
What would it take for you to support the ticket?”
A different/conservative candidate. This is a (clearing throat) conservative web-site.
Presidents come and Presidents go, but Congress hangs around longer than a broke brother-in-law. We need to focus on electing whoever the nominee is and ensuring he has a TEA Party Congress to keep him in line.
Exactly, I could vote for Newt over Miff even though he wasn’t my 1st 2nd or 3rd choice.
The Lord Jesus Christ is not running, we can count on that.
What we do have to recognize is that all of those other, preferred candidates are not running, either. Whether they didn’t “have the fire in their bellies,” the staying power, or whatever, they are not in the contest.
I’m still voting “anybody but Obama” and my only choice in the Primary, at least today, is Gingrich. I hope he can hold out ‘till May 29th for the Texas Primary.
This won’t stop the ‘tards in here from shooting themselves in the foot (or head, pick one).
They insist on electing Obama because they read something on some wingnut site about Romney (despite it being a complete lie).
Whatever, the rest of us grown ups will fight the good fight while they pitch a fit in the corner.
Now bring on the usual insults. Come get some, keyboard kommandos.
If the Republicans want us to vote for them, then they need to give us somebody worth voting for.
It’s not “shooting your own” when the nominee isn’t one of your own.
We need a *conservative* GOP majority in the House.
And we’re only about 40 seats short.
good post!
This article demonstrates what conservatives are fed up with. Conservatives have been team players for the Republicans, but the republicans have not reciprocated over the years. They have continued to grow the government and participated with the progressive agenda under the auspices of “reaching across party lines.”
People who have learned the truth over time, are putting their foot down. The Republican party will not use me this time. I don’t care about their victory in the least. Republicans should have realized that one day they would have to “pay the piper.” That day has come.

Yuri Bezmenov, ex-KGB, explains the process of subversion, which is the blue print being followed by the current government take-over. This seven part series outlines it well. Can you guess what stage we are in now?

“They” don’t give us someone to vote for. We have to recruit, educate and support the people we want to vote for.
Half the delegates are still up for grabs.
Agree with you both.
How about a reworking on Mama’s saying: If you can’t say something positive about one candidate, work hard for another (down ballot) candidate.
Given the way the GOP-E has been pushing Romney specifically, and the amount of funny business going on that just so happens to always benefit Romney, it does tend to look like "they" do, indeed, decide who we're going to vote for.
Though I agree - we need to break their ability to do this and replace their candidate with a conservative one of our own, either inside or outside the GOP.
I want the Senate and the House!
