Hope you didn’t believe the Ron Paul robo calls, because Rick Santorum received an A+ rating from the NRA, but more importantly he was an EFFECTIVE advocate at protecting our 2nd amendment rights.
But don’t take it from me. Here’s a statement from the NRA’s CEO:

I like Rick but I think he’s a weak candidate to put up against the Obama, the Left and their Rinos. I think we need someone who can sell America on American freedom’s ideology and I think Newt will be the best one to do that.

The thing I had seen was incredibly misleading.
Just want to add that:
Ron Paul voted NO on the bill that Santorum brought to the floor, which the NRA CEO praised Santorum on. So Ron Paul’s silly NO vote could haved caused countless of frivolous law suits against gun manufacturers and drive them out of our country.
LIBertarianism sometimes fries the brain.

Anyway, Ron Paul lost, and Santorum won, so we still have the gun manufacturers in the U.S.A.!
Don’t be afraid that Santorum can’t beat Obama, especially since Obama is the worst president in modern history, or maybe EVER!

Had they managed to pass that bill it would have been the nearest thing they could have done outlawing guns in this country without actually having an outright ban.
