>> Jesus had no such thought. He was NOT a communist
Indeed.
Say no more!! Whatever YOU think is undoubtedly exactly what Jesus thought. The two of you are remarkably alike and I have no doubt that you understand his inner most thoughts. While there is no indication that he had the slightest interest in low taxes and limited government, YOU have concluded that if Jesus were alive today, he'd be American! Yes, to heck with all that "Give unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar," Jesus would be a Tea Partier! To heck with all that "give your money to the poor and follow me" and "easier for a camel to get through the eye of a needle" business. Jesus wants States Rights!!
If Jesus wasn’t a communist it’s because there was no such thing as communism back then. He was not there to argue about the government’s use of tax money and couldn’t have cared less one way or another.
Might I suggest that when confronted with facts or opinions you respond in like and not with a silly temper-tantrum of ad hominems? What a bizarre response from you.
Jesus was killed by the govt. Give it up.
Sometimes Caesar is due an ass kicking.
Jesus made it pretty clear how he felt about wealth. Had the local government begun confiscating wealth for distribution to the poor, he would have undoubtedly approved.
Do you really think that, or are you just being confrontational?
Oh wow!
I am certain this doen’t make its way into government classrooms either, given that government teachers are completely professional.
The problem with your arguments is the materialization of Christ’s message that involves some form of centralized control not of the free will provisioned by God.
If you’re looking for political alignment, however wanting, I’d start with Pro-Life Libertarianism.
