Anyone who has ever worked in a lab will tell you the smaller the amount of any chemical you try to detect the more expensive the machine that detects the chemical will be.

The same is true for eliminating pollutants. The lower you drive the levels of a pollutant discharged the more expensive will be the method.

These are simple economics.

The fact that the left and the enviro-nuts do not realize or care about this fact shows that they have left the realm of rationality and have entered the realm of religious Zealotry.

This summer one of the Michigan based ferries across lake Michigan was shut down due to the fact that they dump fly ash in the lake. Funny thing is that the EPA OKs fly ash for filling old water and oil wells.

Have no fear, another ferry was given taxpayer money to upgrade to diesel so they could keep running.
