I see. I had a kid that loved summer school because he could dick around regular school, flunk out then take the same course in 3 weeks it took 3 months to do during regular school. IOW, a Mommy-approved racket.
Meanwhile, OF COURSE some kid told his parents about the early dismissal. How’s he/she supposed to get home, magic carpet?

I’m guessing the teachers wanted the kids to hang around and create a crowd of supporters.
