Being in the Navy during ‘nam doesn't absolve someone of being a liberal. To most of us that would be the sound of freedom....I can't help but believe anyone willing to write a newspaper complaining about 4 F-16s flying fast and low be anything but a bleeding heart. Certainly someone with a whole lot of idle time on their hands. Don't think that is much of a stretch.......not to mention even close to the ramifications of his fop ah...so........

I never get tired of the sound of military jets whether it is a single or pair or a flight. This is the sound of freedom, people!

You know, something you liberals take for granted but you'd never lift a finger to defend it yourselves. Typical Lefty dipsticks.

Lest my post be misconstrued, the Lefty dipstick was the dope who wrote the letter to the Air Force LTC at Luke AFB. He did have the good manners to apologize and that is no less amazing.

If it were me I would have been thrilled at seeing 4 F-16s flying form fast and low...it would have made my day. I can't believe someone took the time to write to a newspaper to complain...

"So Lt. Col. Grant L. Rosensteel, Jr. plagiarized? Please explain."

Scott Pleus does exist (I knew him, and he is currently the Commander of the 8th Fighter Wing at Kunsan AB Korea), and did write it (I recall the original). Either Grant Rosensteel does not exist, or if he does exist and did write it, he plagiarized it from Scott Pleus, who wrote it first.

See the Snopes entry.

The entire scenario from the complaint to the explanation to the apology shows the spirit of the USA. Where else in the world would people come together like this. As a vet of WWII I see the same togetherness and realizations that have carried this Nation through all it’s wars.
