I’m not clear on this — do HuffPo writers write for free? (I thought so, but now I’m not so sure).
Net anonymity keeps us safe from union thugs.
I they pay the serfs, that will mean less jewels and fancy trips for Zsa Zsa.
This is hilarious, just on the face of it.
there are plenty of people willing to take [the bloggers'] place if they [strike].
Like alcoholics, drug addicts, perverts.. bloggers one and all!
I get five times as many people to read what I write about [X topic...] so Im not going to do this.
Like when you are posting excerpts on Free Republic!
hundreds of bloggers throughout the country, are trying to get a share of the riches pocketed by the owners of the Huffington Post
They never heard of the mighty "excerpt on Free Republic" scam.
Not that I'd ever criticize any of the NewsReal group.
Funny stuff, bloggers crying about getting paid for writing
about news covered elsewhere or their valuable opinions about it.
COME ON HUFFPO “WORKERS”
UNIONIZE~!!!
DEMAND YOUR ‘RIGHTS’
TELL OBAMA TO MAKE HER HIRE YOU AND PAY YOU WHAT ALL WRITERS MAKE~!!!!!
Even if you are unable to construct a coherent sentence.
Sometimes bloggers use Free Republic to exact revenge on fellow bloggers who leave the blogger hive.
This is a great column. I’m going to bookmark this thread.
The reason there can never be a successful blogger strike is very simple.
For the effect to be felt, the product would have to be worth something. You’ve got to have a skill that can’t be replaced by a room full of monkeys with typewriters.
Bloggers who have marketable ideas and the skills to present them effectively do not work for bosses. That goes double for the gaggle of cartoon characters at NewsReal whose greatest marketing gimmick (next to the unneeded excerpt) was the emulation of the David Letterman “10 Things List.”
(What are Ten Things - besides Slick Willie - that you’ll never find in Hillary Clinton’s pants?)
Quite a bit, actually.
Neither are welcome on the property, for one.
Ouch. That’ll leave a mark.
I miss “The Dean.” Arrogance and hyper-inflated egos can be so entertaining.
That, in a nutshell, is the entire argument. Well said!
