You are right in saying he was delusional and arrogant. This guy also liked to have fun with keywords. He would add stuff like '1sweetcolumn', 'awesomeblog' and 'bestblog' to his threads. The mods removed them from his zot thread but he came back in retread form and added some more.
He sure thought rather highly of himself.... heh heh.
