Was the federal "government" involved in some way in Glenn Beck's departure from FOX News ?

My guess is the Saudis own a piece of 0bama.

The Saudis do own a piece of Fox News.

When you say federal "government" are you referring to the Saudi Arabian government or the US government?

Things do tend to get a bit murky when one country's government owns a chunk of another country's government.

He lost when Americans realized that he is not serious. He should have been the ‘Trump’. That’s what we were waiting for.

He is anti-Palin and anti-Trump. GB, for all of his arm waving and tin-foil hat stuff, is still a shill for the RNC establishment, as is Billy O.

BTW, Billy O saw his ratings plummet after he trashed the ‘birthers’. GB is off the air (radio and TV) after he also trashed the ‘birthers’.

You can’t come to my barbeque and then say that everyone who likes to eat deer meat is a stupid fool idiot. That would possibly give me the impression that maybe you just might don’t belong here.

And you wouldn’t want that.

“Things do tend to get a bit murky when one country’s government owns a chunk of another country’s government.”

Yes, they do. Remember when Beck outed China’s FoxConn ?

I don’t doubt that pressure has been put on him and on Fox from people in government who had no business involving themselves, but I don’t think it’s as sinister as what you’re saying might have happened.

When Soros’ representative had a chilling meeting with Beck’s, instead of adjusting what he was doing, he publicized it, and wouldn’t stop talking about everything around it for days, going so far as doing a full expose on Soros - probably the first done in Soros’ 80-some years. Since he’s not staying, I’d expect he’d be even more likely to ignore implicit or explicit threats against his career there. And he’s been dealing with death threats for a while now already.

I’m not so sure. Cass Sunstein wields all kinds of power and has a real stink attitude.

Whether you're a fan or not, you have to admit that the federal "government" has never had a critic like Glenn Beck. He was different in the fact that he wasn't just attacking one party.

Well, Savage is another. We will see if he survives on the air.

I sincerley hope I’m wrong, but I think this is going to start getting really ugly. Savage, Boortz, Levin, Hannity, and even El-Rushbo could be in real trouble....

I agree. As much as I like the information Glenn has brought light to, his skirting of issues and outright denial of others (with no basis), has grown tiresome to me. I think, like everyone, he’s human, which means that while I appreciate him and his work that contributes to good, I don’t gloss over the flaws or give him a pass when he does something wrong.

Great analogy!

My one and only comment on conspiracy theories.

Just because you’re paranoid doesn’t mean they aren’t out to get you.

Are you like me, in that as you read all the headlines on Drudge you look for connections to the stories which lead to a mastermind of evil playing the world like a chess game?

OK. Maybe that is a little too much like "Jerry"....I have to go now...and put the bottle on the door knob.

I lost interest in Beck’s show when he kept bringing out the chalk board. For me, it felt too much as if I was back at school listening to a lecture.

Beck has been and is a good man with good works under his belt.

I hope someone is watching him. Given what he is currently going through, I would hate to see a slip. They better keep an strong eye on him. He is in my prayers.

I keep him in my prayers too. The problem I have listening to him is that the repetition he uses is so mundane I can’t stand it, and that he has to tiptoe around the issues.

3 Months ago Mr. Beck said he’d stop focusing on the problems, and start focusing on the solutions. He did for about a week. And then went back to saying the same thing everyday. I’m sure that for some it is important, but I for one think he could get that same message across in a once a week or so message, not saying the same thing everyday with 5 min of additional info rotated into the mix.

Then again, he’s trying to diplomatically say something, that isn’t going to end in diplomacy. People are either going to say “ENOUGH!” now, or wait until they have no other choice.

Glenn Beck does his country a great service, but I think he realizes that there’s abetter way to do it (as was what he said), and I agree.

“He lost when Americans realized that he is not serious.” Several of my neighbors and I used to faithfully watch Beck every day. Now, we all rarely watch anymore. For me it’s his wacky demeanor. Mocking the other side constantly is not something I find appealing (it’s one of the reasons I can’t stand democreeps; who are masters of mocking.) And the “white hat” act I saw recently—where he put on a white cowboy hat when the segment ended and walked to a darkened part of the studio—was embarrassing. The religious overtones and birther bashing also sent me packing.

Let’s face it. He was a flash in the pan and didn’t fit in at Fox.
