I wasn’t speaking about the next election but the electors in the LAST election.

Powell was born in Jamaica, NY. I think it is a neighborhood of NYC. Are you sure his parents were born on the island of Jamaica?

“The electors have not been selected yet.”

I think the poster meant an elector from the ‘08 election.

Die jacta est. Too late to unring a bell. I don’t see how an elector who has already cast his/her ballot can ask for a redo. When would the statute of limitations run out in such cases?

Not saying there could be a redo but it would be evidence of a fraud and therefore an impeachable offense. I would assume the same statute of limitations that apply to standard fraud cases would apply. It is also possible other crimes would be involved as well: perjury, mail fraud, election fraud, committing mopery with intent to gawk.

If proven, it would make for a serious Constitutional crisis. I'm not sure that it could even result in an "undo" of the election, since the election was certified by Congress. This is all utterly untested legal ground. There's simply no protocol to follow. It may be that the proper answer would be articles of impeachment for fraud. Which... brings up other elements. What if Obama didn't actually ~know~ he wasn't born in Hawaii? If he had always been told that, and believed it... then there's no intent to defraud on his part.

It would be some crazy times, that's for sure.
