That whole article is spin, but the above is a bit more subtle.
The precipitating cause of Lakin's refusal to deploy was his challenging of Obama's right to issue legal orders.
It was the Army that chose to charge him with missing movement and not with questioning his commander in chief.
They obviously made the right choice in terms of winning a prosecution, but it is no different than any prosecutor who chooses to prosecute the more certain of 2 or more charges against the same individual.
So, that is actually a dishonesty on the part of this author.

It’s the “big lie” technique. Repeat the same lie a sufficient number of times and people will come to accept it as truth. It’s not working in this case, but they keep trying. They have to. If Obama is proven to be the fraud we all know or suspect he is, it will be a blow that would devastate the Democrat Party for decades.

The skepticism affected by the author and his kind vis a vis birthers might be approiate if the politician under discussion had a known, long personal history replete with testimony from friends, teachers, neighbors etc but, darn it, no birth certificate. Affected Skepticisim is an active lie.

The media lie about Obama’s background is just being replaced with the media lie that Donald Trump is conservative.
Trump is an egomaniac with strong leftist leanings. This kind of profile will often disguise itself as “right leaning,” in order to gain credibility. John McCain is a perfect example.
How can you write an article about Trump running for president and leave out the part where Trump favored Universal Healthcare, supported John Kerry and stated Hillary was “ready to be Commander in Chief?”
Incidentally, I have taken to using the initials "BO/BS" to refer to the present occupant at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, because rumor has it that his last legal parent was a Mr. Soetoro from Indonesia who legally adopted him and legally changed the child's name to his. Said Indonesian name was never legally changed back. Therefore, legally speaking, we are left with the interesting situation of the occupant of 1600 having taken various oaths and signed documents of state with a name other than his own legal name.
Thankfully, during the man's second term, which seems inevitable because there is no organized opposition, a few of these rumors can be laid to rest.

Darn good Guess! The entire situation does leave a rather bad smell behind, but no, Bjorn, BO/BS merely stands for a couple of name possibilities connected with the person.
After all, we bloggers have to call him something in polite company, and those initials, despite the obvious entendre-double, will do.
It’s the total void of individual connectedness [childhood friends, college roommates, relatives (too many conveniently deceased), instructors, neighbors - where are they all?], fueling doubt over who Obama really is. Over the last two years, typical milestones like birthdays aren’t celebrated traditionally either. Too many secrets for the comfort level of citizens accustomed to expectations of equal treatment under the law (US Constitution).
