Good graphic — I have one criticism, take out “slowly” — he is in a great big hurry to destroy us.
The RNC decides on the order of the primaries. Some states have tried to go earlier, such as Florida, but they often end up by disqualifying themselves.
Florida is again attempting to go ahead of New Hampshire, but New Hampshire is not pleased with that idea, and the RNC are pretty sure to rule in their favor.
You pointed out what I have often pointed out, that the early primaries are stacked in favor of liberal states and crossover states. NH even allows people to be bussed in from other states and declare that they intend to become citizens. It’s the national party that decides what the primary order will be.
Sure, there are local problems. But the primary order is an RNC problem. Lots of states would like to go first, often for purely selfish reasons, but are not allowed to.
I know....but, they start out at the precinct level. They don't just show up on the nationsl level. Some of the biggest fights are electing the delegates to go to the next level.
More important, it’s the state-run media that determins who runs in the Republican primaries. As of today, it looks like they have deemed Hair and Hickabee as the front-runners.
