It troubles me when I read how few young women graduating from high school list as their goals in life are to become a wife and mother.
Unless a child is going into a profession that requires a degree (law, accounting, medicine, teaching, engineering, etc.) I don’t see the value of it. Many salespeople in this country with high school diplomas or less make much more than many college graduates.

Why don’t you give Bristol an opportunity to have a bigger and more long-term future than just being a reality star?
Bristol made hundreds of thousands of dollars for her Dancing with the Stars gig, and she is reported to earn $14,000 per speaking engagement. She seems to be doing a much better job of preparing for her future than than most college grads her age. It makes sense for her to ride her current gravy train until it stops being so lucrative, then consider other options. She can always go to college if she wants to.

It is nothing. Like urban studies, womyn studies, ethnic studies, black studies, international studies. When I was in academia we called this kind of drech a "j---off major." All you had to do was j---off your major professor and you passed with honors.
