Has anyone verified that these remarks were actually made by Willow and Bristol?
What gets me about the exchange is that Tre, while being dead wrong about his assessment of the show (although if that was his personal view, he’s certainly entitled to it), wasn’t crude, or personally offensive.
It was simply a harsh comment about his personal opinion of a show.
I understand attacking the media for blowing this up publicly. But I don’t see why people here are attacking Tre for expressing his opinion, much less those people suggesting he might actually be gay. Willow didn’t seem to mean he was really gay, and he just expressed his opinion.
This happening is probably why politicians figure it is wise to keep the minor kids out of the limelight.
The problem here was the TV Show. That is what set Willow off.
As for Bristol, if she is 21, there isn’t much Palin can do about it. It would be nice if she would remember the stakes are high and people will be watching her every move.
Sad but true.
There is a piece of information that may be missing from this whole story, which might make it less of a bad thing.
I know that sometimes my kids get into trash-talking with their close friends, and if viewed from the outside, it might look like they hate each other.
What if Tre is actually a friend of the family, and was just being trash-talking? And what if Willow and Bristol where then just trash-talking him back? Sure, they still have the problem of curse words and the fact that it isn’t really private, and Bristol still has apologized, but maybe they weren’t really going after the kid for having an opinion.
"forgot"? When did that become homophobic?
