Crash and burn? I don’t know and of course the “innocent” people don’t deserve it. However, I can see more businesses moving out, higher property taxes and more foreclosures.

“Hundreds of thousands of these government employee union members voted for their own special interest, not for the good of California.”

If you rob Peter to pay Paul, you will always have the support of Paul.

Republicans now control 100% of Michigan state government!

Same thing here in OHIO!! Would have been nice to see a little bit more shift in states like CT, NY and CA though. Not sure what it is going to take to wake these people up to the fact that they are A) either not taking the time when voting or B) being controlled by the VOTE COUNTERS.

For the past 12+ years the demonrats and incompetent RINOS here have been devouring the golden eggs the goose that was the California economic machine. Those eggs are gone and now with the loss of a 2/3 requirement for budgets AND moonbeam as Gov, demonrats will be sharpening their knives in anticipation of devouring the emaciated goose. The next two years have the potential to be hell, but they must remember - there are still ‘third’ rails that will trip them up, such as Prop 13, that can and would generate recalls during the ‘12 election cycle. All is not lost, just in critical condition on life support.

"Come over into the light, move here to Oklahoma."

Hell no. Keep that trash in California. Californians will only ruin any other states they move to.

You’re right. It doesn’t have to be that way, but, that’s how most people learn, the hard way. Just like a drunk who keeps denying he/she has a problem, until that person hits rock bottom or dies. If it doesn’t kill them and it will unless that person changes, when they do change, they come back stronger and better than ever.

As an actual native Californian, I feel exactly the same way. I actually posted my disgust over re-electing Boxer on Facebook. I’m sure many of my well-meaning idiot liberal friends will defriend me, but oh well.

I’m in the northeast, and referring to the fact that NY swung left while America swung right, heard someone on the radio say they’d like to think we’re smarter than the rest of the country.

The left in our area didn’t learn a damned thing yesterday; we’ll continue to lose jobs and American residents, gain illegal aliens, and follow California on its path to irrelevance.

Kalifornia is going to look like Mexico in the next 10 years: no middle class, just peasants and aristocrats at the top. Folks will only wake up when the state if totally broke and on its knees. I have a lot of liberal friends also, and it is sad that they just don’t get it.

As a California resident (since 1969), and a conservative, I hope CA does not get bailed out. I want to see this state sink to the bottom. It’s the only possibility we have left to finally get rid of all the pieces of leftist garbage like Boxer, Feinstein, Brown and all the rest of the socialists who have ruined this state.

Great Post. I totally agree with you. My own heartbreak today is that my beautiful state of Colorado also went almost totally Blue. We lost all of the big races. I blame the RINO idiots in charge for not finding better candidates. We wouldn't have had Buck or Maes if the Republican leadership here was not a bunch of idiots! I guess we need to clean some trash out of our own house before we can move on. My only consolation is that the RATS got their A$$es handed to them all over the rest of the country.

“Would have been nice to see a little bit more shift in states like CT, NY and CA though.”

On a positive note, one of the talking heads was saying that a bright spot for Dems was that they’ve hung on to NY and CA (!); imagine that is a “bright spot”?

At the very least, they should continue bleeding electoral votes as the (legal) population falls...

I feel exactly the same as you do, I love this state, but not its liberal politics and laissez faire, we’re going to live forever mentality.

I am not counting on a future here at all, and seriously considering moving to Texas now.

You saw a commercial with a mother holding a toddler, who was taking a breath from a large inhaler, and you said "oh we can't have that! No on 23!"

Please tell me that wasn't an actual commercial. Do these people (on either side) know what carbon dioxide is?

I left SoCal....in '97.

I saw the writing on the wall.

I'm not happy knowing I was right.

I took with me my family....four professionals nowadays. Four "producers"...

Unfortunately..my oldest moved back to SoCal. And is doing well...but I wish she'd leave. She'll figure it out...sooner or later.

Sadly, California may very well become the example other states will look at in the future of what not to become. My condolences.

I was one of those conservatives who left the state. Now I am in PA, and we are finally coming around, at least for this election cycle. I see the “Big One” hitting CA before they are a red state again.

"the lack of voter ID requirements."

You turn up, announce that you are Phred Nurke, sign against Phred's name in the register and cast you (illegal) votes. If the real Phred is not actually dead and he turns up what can they do? It's a secret ballot so they cannot nullify your (illegal) vote. Mission Accomplished.
