How was the turkey?
Good for you!
I knew you were normal!!
I just got back from my sister’s/niece’s place for turkey dinner. I guess they figured they were going to feed the neighbors because there sure was a lot of FOOD!
I took my pie, and when I got there Cornpone decided we needed wine, so Sis and I headed for Smith’s. She got two bottles and I got one for when I got home.
The great-niece, two is a real pistol. She volunteered to sit on my lap and help me eat my turkey and cranberry. She has this beautiful strawberry blonde hair, and dimples to die for. I could see Frank....
Anyway, it was fun, but Cornpone has to go to work at 3:00 AM (18 hour shifts) so I opted to come home. Besides...I didn’t want to wait for the traffic to build up.
It was fun to visit. Now I’m really tired!
But the glucose is like drinking syrup. NASTY syrup.
I was always wasted after that six hours.
Well, I’m glad you saw fit to take things into your own hands. And mouth. I did real good, just trying to eat turkey two days in a row. I have to say...today’s was the BEST! Of course, we share recipe secrets, so it has to be good. :o]
We’ve been eating leftovers. I had sweet potato crumble for breakfast and lunch, and green beans for supper. And wine. I found some hot dogs for the byos ... they had turkey for lunch.
I bet it takes him a year to get the guts to show up again!
(I can’t believe I said that!)
The Pone gave me a “to-go” dish, but it only has turkey, ham, cranberry jelly, olives and a cranberry-almond scone.
Tomorrow, I may wish I had taken more, but she said she would call me when they make the turkey soup with homemade noodles. :o])
He must regenerate, gathering power through unspeakable necromantic acts all for the glory of Bir-dzyyye his dark master!
Now THAT is a scary thought!
DP is going to make turkey enchiladas. Tomorrow, I assume. I will make minced roasted potato and carrot to go with it, like Asuncion uses. But he will not fry the tortillas in oil, like Asuncion did, which means it won’t taste as good, but also won’t kill us.
If I HAVE to eat corn tortillas, I fry them in lard. I don’t like the feel of oil on the roof of my mouth and lard doesn’t have an oily feel.
Otherwise, I stick with flour tortillas. Which I know how to make...with lard. :o]
I think Asuncion was using vegetable oil. It was in my clothing. But the food was great!
We heat corn tortillas on a dry non-stick skillet. Works okay - not as good as oil or lard, but the reduction in fat and calories is worth it.
Isn’t this how we wrote the unspeakable tale of AntiClaus?
I don’t recall...that is on my old hard drive and I’m hoping it can be retrieved....
I think I have it.
FReepmail in a second.
Some days, I just want the fat. It helps my hair to stay in, and keeps away wrinkles from my face!
K
Fangs!
There is that.
I need to see if anyone still needs supper!
Welcome!
