Thanks for the invite but for me it would involve more sitting on airplanes and you know how that is.
I’m going to slip over to the neighbor’s once I get the pies made, but I have to start them, first. :o])
I’d procrastinate, but I’ll wait for tomorrow.
I’d be most happy to join you but I fear I would get there too late for the yummies.
Besides, it would mean going out in the 20mph wind. Which makes the wind chill about 15 degrees. I’ll stay close to my warm oven...
'Xactly! It's cozy here.
True, but choir people have to look way ahead, like crafty-people. You can't just wake up December 24 and be ready for three services.
Of course it is!
At least you have Netflix. I haven’t bothered to do whatever it is I have to do (install codecs) to watch DVDs on the computers. It was kind of fun to watch Avatar on the cellphone on the last trip. But with a new (replacement) cellphone and new laptop drive I have a lot of “configuring” ahead of me this weekend.

Sigh. “Sounds like another sponge is ready ...”
There was some kind of gunk on the bottom of the oven, and it smoked up the house when I turned the oven on to bake sweet potatoes for the Crumble. Better have this happen now than later, I suppose ... we’ll have time for the smoke to clear while it’s relatively warm (51).
Sigh again. Now DP tells me we need butter. Of course, he was just at Walmart, with a list of 4 things, and came home with 16, of which none was butter ...
Sigh.
My homemade charcoal briquet baskets have nearly rusted through. I will need to get wire mesh to make new ones before we do a turkey again.
Sigh.
Anoreth is about to be snowed upon, though.
I think you can just go to Netflix and get the download for the movie. Some movie watching will come in handy today, for sure.

I hate when my kitchen smokes. For any reason. The range hood fan isn’t vented to outdoors, so I’m guessing it has a charcoal filter of some type. I still have to open the window.
The pies are in the oven.
I may make some stuffing. Just enough for me, of course. I love that stuff! ;o]
It won’t get up to 51 today. Weatherman says 47. It’s always colder here than at McCarran, so I figure 45 is a good guess. In the sun.
I want to come to your Weber Turkey Cook-out. Not until the pies are done, though.
:o]
We have the DVD for that one. But it was interesting to look at the Netflix website.
Snow's beginning to fall off the trees now, so it's thawing out there. But LoM says there are reports that the snow could return (it's still snowing, but very heavy wet snow... or it was a minute ago, not now).
Happy Thanksgiving, Everyone!
Today, I am thankful that I was born an American, and that my children are, too.
I’m thankful for the many, many blessings God has seen fit to give me through many of my FRiends, friends and relatives.
Although the last six months have been the roughest I can ever remember, they have also been the most blessed.
I’m thankful for my life, my personal possessions and for the fact that I am blessed enough to be able to complain about everything that doesn’t strike me as being something I wanted.
Last but not least, I’m thankful to Jim Robinson for producing such a great site for us to meet.
Thank you all for being you and for brightening up my little corner of the world!
