Oh, what a tangled web we weave when first we practice the guitar at 5:00 in the morning. Actually, weaving is much quieter, unless one has a water-powered industrial loom ...
At least it was a useful Spanish piece that we’re going to play on Sunday, and not the dreadful Beatles.

I’ll go see it if I ever get off work. It did snow, but it’s dark still so I don’t know how much.

The sun is up here, and the temperature is rising. When it reaches 50, maybe I’ll go out in the back yard and pick some peppers and cilantro for Asuncion.

"... and not the dreadful Beatles." "The Dreadful Beatles" would be a good band name.

Or “The Dreadful Beetles,” or “The Mouse Under the Refrigerator.” I think it’s still there. Jake and Shannon were staring and mumbling this morning.

Maybe that’s why we haven’t caught anything in our mousetrap.

"Maybe thats why we havent caught anything in our mousetrap." Are you using peanut butter for bait?

You could try dog food and a little syrup or honey. We got a rat in Malaysia.

Looks like six or eight inches. Probably more later. It’s about 25 outside, and in the 40s on the ship.

We have wind. Some places in the valley, it’s already at 45 mph and due to rise...gusts could be as high at 70.
Glum. Dark. Ugly. Rain for this afternoon. Maybe even tomorrow. All because of the storm that is currently south of Puget Sound, on its way here.

Peanut butter is not necessarily the best bait. I had a mouse in the apartment I lived in in 2001, and I set out two traps with peanut butter.
A day or so later, I checked the traps and saw teeth marks in the peanut butter, but the traps hadn’t been sprung. I think the little wuzzer was watching “Tom and Jerry” cartoons.

We had 45 MPH gusts last night. Moved the ship six inches on the blocks. Pretty scary. They thought about evacuating.

That IS scary about the ship. *shudder*
We get winds like that every time there is a major storm in PS area. Nevada is all mountains that run north and south, but Las Vegas Valley is a hugh bowl, so when the wind gets here, it’s ugly.
Today is “Garbage Can Roulette” Day.

The advantage of peanut butter is that it is aromatic and tasty. Sure the mouse may be able to get a free nibble or two without tripping the trigger.
But, if the mouse comes back to clean up his plate, he is almost certain to trip the trap at that time.
Which brings up a point. If a mouse can clean your trap without tripping it, the trap is not sensitive enough.
A mouse trap needs to have a “hair trigger”. If it has a tendency to go off when you set it down, that’s about right.
It can be adjusted by twisting the wires a bit. Make it sensitive enough and it will either catch the mouse or scare him to death.
