Wow, this seems like the kind of thing one would dream while dozing on the sofa listening to David Attenborough drone about rodents. Are rabbits rodents? I’ve forgotten.

Rabbits are rodents of the order leporidae.

The one with the Virginia Piedmont accent is hard to write without laughing.
“It’s not a cigar son, it’s licorice. Have a bit of an addiction to it you know.” -imagine a bipedal rabbit saying that with one hand holding a licorice stick, the other holding the inner hem of his vest.

So did the friends sit on the door step with Ash or did some come in. Did she get a snack too?

No, the hooman wandered off, and Ash was sad. A couple of dog biscuits helped. My husband was gone most of the day, and Ash felt neglected.

I was out with my sister today. We went to breakfast at IHOP, then went to JoAnn’s, to Walmart, then back to her daughter’s place.

As she was bringing me home, the power steering went out. It was a fuse. It took us over an hour to find the fuse box, then tried to find a fuse in several shops, and all the while, my niece had to use armstrong power.

After we got back here, I showed her how to get to Checker Auto, where the guys took out the old fuse and put in the new one. We just barely got out of the parking lot when the fuse blew again.

Well, she dropped me off, and man-handled their way out of the parking lot. I felt bad. Now Niece will have to go to the dealer to fix the problem.

Anyway, it was fun to be with them for a while.

Poor Ash. She’s so used to so much attention and activity around her that she gets bored if a lot of it isn’t coming her way.

Sounds good, except the car problem. DP had a good day of sailing. We went to a Knight of Columbus potluck, with square dancing. Pat took to square dancing very well. The other byos ate ;-).

It sounds like you had a better day than I did! LOL!

The high point of my day was when 2 year-old Maddie (Madison) reached out for me to hold her. She has strawberry blonde hair and is a real pistol! She reminds me so much of her mother at that age!

Pat impressed me as being the guy who can do ANYthing he sees someone else doing. No holds barred. If he can’t do it, it’s because no one told him it couldn’t be done!

The potluck sounds like a lot of fun!

I slept in this morning...til almost 6:00! It was a busy day for me, yesterday.

Us, too. I have choir coming over shortly, although at least one is sick, and of course Elen’s not here. I cleaned all the bathrooms this morning!

Ohmy!
I’m still trying to decide if I want to go to Walmart or wait until tomorrow. Yesterday was about two hours beyond my limit, as I really haven’t been feeling all that well, lately.
The stress of MD is catching up with me, now that I can see an end to it. It always works that way. I can keep going but it means the relapse will be much worse than if I had just stopped.

My own fault. Plus, I “cleaned house” yesterday. We’re having another inspection on Wednesday (I hate them...three agencies have to inspect “once a year,” which means we have to be disrupted three times a year.)

*gack*

Hang in there! You could be on a boat in the rain with no hot water, ventilation, or mice.

I may watch a movie, (B&W) then football, but I suspect I’ll go to bed early, in any case.

We have snow on Mt. Charleston! It’s been there since October. VERY early for here!

I realized that one of the things that stressed me yesterday was the fact that I couldn’t leave when I wanted to, due to the car.

That was a revelation to me. I enjoyed my sister and niece but felt I had overstayed (for my own comfort) and therefore, felt worse when the power steering went out. No power steering fluid...just a fuse. Technology. There is probably a short in the sending unit. I hope the car is still under warranty.
