It’s nice to think that being a Marine and a Marine general officer purges one of baser motivations. However we know that’s not a given. Sad to say I can put together a list of some loathsome ex-Marines. For example Murtha, Lee Harvey Oswald, Ron Dellums, etc. (These people definitely fit in the ex-Marine category!) I am not saying Bolden is one of these, because I simply don’t know. I have one data point to judge him, his current stupid comments regarding NASA’s mission. His motivation maybe like Powell’s purely based on racial solidarity. Which is a shame I expect better of people who achieved such military rank.

And add good ole Jeremiah Wright to that list!
